We loved everything- from the decor, the relaxed vibe, the beautiful rooms with a view, the pool, the breakfast and coffee, the location, the staff, and being right on the beach.

The location is great and the beach frontage is hard to come by in Ahangama. The aesthetics and design are very pretty and instragrammable!

We didn’t feel like it was worth $300 a night and left feeling ripped off and here’s why. - there are certain amenities that should be provided when you’re pricing yourself into the $300 a night category and this was severely lacking. Just a simple white sheet on the bed is giving guest house, no bath mats in the toilets and just a basic watered down shower gel with no shampoo or conditioner. - there was an 11 hr power cut during one of our stays and the hotel did not have a generator….unacceptable to leave your paying guests without power and in the literal dark whilst staff are extremely chill about it. Truly unacceptable to not have a back up power supply. - hot water stopped working in our room for 24 hours. - the entire hotel shuts down after 7pm and there’s no one but a security guard at the property so we had no one to speak to when the hot water stopped working for us at night. Owners or staff do not respond to WhatsApp messages either. So there’s no one present to provide service after 7pm. The security guard was sweet but it’s a faff to have to find your way through a dark hotel to locate a fridge to get a bottle of water at night when you’re paying$300 a night. Where’s the service?!
