Ocean Parade 6 - Affordable, Pool, Spa, Beach, BBQ

The location was great, the beach was directly across the road easy walking distance and there was a shower/tap at the premises to wash off sand. The unit was neat, clean and tidy. Had 2 bedrooms one with a double bed and one room with 2 single beds. There was a generous wardrobe for hanging clothes, with a sliding mirror door. The bed and bedding was very comfortable, both rooms had aircon in them including an aircon in the main living area. The kitchen was small but had everything you could have needed, cutlery, pots, pans, dishes, glasses, mugs, tea towels, dishwashing items, microwave, kettle and small fridge. There was a balcony that had a view over the pool, but also looked onto other units balconies and rooms. In the main bedroom there was a TV and small chair to sit, the lounge also had a TV and plenty of seats for 4 people. Overall the unit itself was great, access to the beach and restaurants excellent. The managers of the unit were quick to respond and good customer service.

Note you will be staying in an area that has a number of units behind and next door. Arriving at the complex you need to get the keys from the lock box, if you are like me I'm looking for a big lock box at the staff/reception, well the lock box is actually small boxes located in the parking spaces. There is no one on duty or an office/reception so you are not able to ask for assistance directly you need to make contact by phone. I think the problem with this is if you lock your phone in the unit with the door key, you are essentially "screwed". There are cleaning staff of a morning however they are not able to assist with anything. The front door access was small and had steps directly in front of the door, this may not bother some people but the front door also is heavy to push open as it will automatically shut. This meant that you had to navigate the narrow stairs, opening the door with the key and simultaneously pushing the door open and holding it open whilst stepping into the unit. The keys to the unit also come with a laundry and front door and screen door keys, the front and screen door keys are together but the laundry key is on a separate key chain and they look identical at a glance. The issue is you need to make sure that you have the unit front door key when you leave as the door will automatically shut. If you get locked out you will need to wait until an outside company is able to give you access to the unit. Also you will be charged the call out fee which is over $80. Access to the pool area was not easily understood, in fact, it has a locked gate that requires a key, I was unable to find anyone to help with being able to use the pool area due to being locked out. The car parking spaces are tight, but not an issue if let people out before parking. The bathroom is small and also has the toilet in the bathroom, this really isn't a big issue but it could become an issue. Other than the above, there was no issues.
