Spacious Room at Casa Danni

Fantastic host - Danni made us feel so welcome and gave us loads of recommendations. We booked 5 days but ended up staying for a week. Danni introduced us to the local Ju Jitsu teacher and invited us to join in with his class and some of the kids in the community which was a really fun and unique experience. Danni has built this house herself and we were so impressed! It is a haven! She is also involved in charity work in the community and I’m so glad we chose her place to stay! Beautiful views - relaxing place to hang out and take time out after visiting the city Location - wonderful friendly community, little hill walk that we enjoyed for the exercise. We never ended up using the motorbike taxi after the first day Room - comfortable and saw a toucan out of the window! And monkeys! Facilities - everything spotless and a kitchen with utensils and a place to prepare light meals!

Our experience at Danni’s house was overall very enjoyable. It was an incredibly authentic Brazilian experience with a unique atmosphere that you don’t come across often. The highlight was definitely the view over the city – one of the best we have ever experienced. The house itself was very clean and cozy, making us feel at home right away. We had a great time there and will take many wonderful memories with us. Danni played a big part in this: she was always available and very helpful whenever we needed anything. Thank you, Danni, for this special experience! Overall, we would definitely book this place again and highly recommend it to our friends and family.

Es una casa preciosa, con una terraza espectacular, la casa se compone de habitaciones y apartamentitos con zonas comunes. Nosotros estuvimos en una de las habitaciones y dormimos genial. Danni es súper atenta y simpática, y te ayuda con lo que necesites, además de ser una gran masajista. La casa está en una colina, así que hay que coger moto taxi para subir si no quieres subir la cuesta andando (es barato y funciona 24h sin problemas) y se encuentra en una favela muy tranquila y segura, pegada a Copacabana, ideal ubicación para hacer planes por Río. Lo recomiendo 100%, merece la pena y te permite conocer Río de otra forma. Repetiría sin duda.

My sister and I stayed at Daniella’s apartment for a week and we were completely blown away! The place is not only beautiful, cozy, and fully equipped, but its hilltop location offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Rio, including the “Cristo Redentor” statue. Here in this neighborhood you also won’t miss the favela experience! Take it as a chance to witness daily life there and meet some of the most welcoming people you’ll ever encounter. What can I say about the host?? Daniella is lovely, thoughtful, responsive, and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect, she made us feel like we were home. Thank you for such warmth and hospitality! I highly recommend this gem to anyone visiting Rio and I hope to return soon. Muito obrigada! ☺️🩷
