Villa Estella Matutina

Villa spacieuse avec belle vue sur mer bien placée à 3-4 mn en voiture de la marina et du centre de Cala d’Or. Petite piscine agréable bien entretenue. Très bonne réactivité d’ Antonia en cas de besoin: 2 ventilateurs défectueux changés très rapidement après notre demande.

Les 2 canapés du salon sont avachis et mériteraient d’être changés. Équipement trop juste pour 8 personnes (vaisselles …) Volets non occultants dans les chambres et la chambre du bas est sans volets À savoir, il n’y a que des lits individuels dans les chambres

Ground floor has big ant infestation, all in the kitchen and living room / on the walls and all over kitchen sides. In all sorts of places you don’t want them to be in, microwave , fridge etc . NOT ideal or nice at all as had to get spray and keep killing them . Very inconvenient and not very pleasant. This lets the property down massively as this could be resolved. Broken hairdryer, asked for a new one and was told I would get one but sadly it never arrived. Broken fan which needed replacing , broken umbrella outside by the pool- kept blowing over and was all bent. Wasps nest outside that needed seeing too. Just a few tiny details that need maintaining in the house to get it looking great again. This house could definitely be a 10/10 if it got the problems seen too

Ubicación, piscina y vistas

The villa is in a great location, right near the sea and with amazing views of sunrise and sunsets etc. However, I would say that is the best thing about this villa! We also had very good responsiveness from Villas Cala D'or, the company managing the stay for us, when we had some issues we had with a door whilst we stayed there. Everything was dealt with very quickly.

The villa is extremely dated and fell below what we were hoping for. On arrival, it required a clean due to debris, rubbish and signs of previous guests throughout the property. While views and location are excellent, the outdoor area was not maintained to a high standard, with algae around the water level of the pool, not enough umbrellas, and those that were there were broken! All pool amenities (Lilo’s etc) were punchered and not usable so should have just been thrown out. Also of note for future guests - the pool has no shallow end and is around 6ft deep at least, so is not great for young children. Having no air conditioning was not great either, we knew this ahead of time and expected it to not have it, but the reality is that it really does need air con! Especially as the villa next door, which is exactly the same villa and looks like it's owned by the same person, does have air conditioning! The kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms are well past their best. The main issue was that there are not enough items in the kitchen for 10 people staying there, amenities in the kitchen were also very old so this was a big issue for us. While some of these problems might be considered minor in isolation, together they demonstrate a property that has not been properly cleaned, maintained or inspected for a while. This villa could definitely be a 10/10 villa if the owner updated/fixed everything and paid more attention to the amenities needed.
