Near Acropolis, Koukaki Retreat

The location was central to the Acropolis and a short bus ride to the museums. There were 2 supermarkets within a short walk and a nice bakery within 100m. The area itself felt safe, we walked to and from dinner each night with no concerns and there were plenty of places to eat near by. The property itself was very pleasant and felt homely, it was nice to have a washing machine, cook top and fridge and it was very peaceful at night even with a club down the road pumping music - once the bedroom door was closed it was silent. We stayed here when we first arrived, traveled the islands for a couple days and returned for an a few more days. The host was very communicative and assisted us with luggage storage while we were on the islands. Will definitely be staying in the future.

If I could give this property 11 out of 10 I would. It was perfect for our first visit to Athens. The location is fantastic, walk to the Acropolis & dozens of bars & restaurants. Down a small street so very quiet. Communication from the host was excellent. The apartment itself was perfect for us. Spacious, comfortable, with a tiny balcony - just 2 chairs - a great spot for coffee looking at the street. Very comfortable bed. Lots of useful things in the kitchen. If you want something “fancy” this apartment is not for you, this place is like being at home. We loved it and could have stayed there for a month easily.

Nothing

This was a lovely stay in a clean and bright apartment. The neighborhood is quiet but lively and there are wonderful restaurants and shops just a minute or two away. It is walkable to everything or you could take the bus or train. There is a lovely little balcony and the host brought small snacks which made a big difference. There is air conditioning in the bedroom. There is a full kitchen which also had a washing machine. The shower is a little awkward as you do have to hold the shower head. Overall I did enjoy my stay.

The shower could use a small adjustment to hold the shower head so you don’t have to.

Spacious clean and cozy apartment, nice location - central yet not overrun with tourists, many nice restaurants, cafés, bakeries around. All the amenities are there and in great condition. The communication with the host was clear and polite.

All perfect!
