The Environment is very casual and friendly, good for solo travellers. The beds are nice and clean, Worldcup matches were going on in the common space. Rooms were reasonably clean for a hostel.
If the beds were bolted to the walls it would be better, because when either of the person above or below gets on or off the bed the whole thing moves and disturbs the one who's sleeping.

Bed reasonably comfortable and laundry service was helpful, although it required you to do it yourself which was time consuming if you have a busy itinerary. The staff were very helpful and there was a nice social vibe.
The bathroom was a little dirty, and there was a hole in the wall which allowed lots of bugs to enter. The location was very far from the centre of Shillong. However this was clearly advertised on the page.
