Casa Calero Bella

The information given for entry was timely and it was easy to locate key. The villa is huge and is even bigger than it seems in the pictures. The outdoor areas were amazing for kids and adults alike. The pool is heated to a lovely temperature and is a good size; it goes from 1.4m to 1.95m; good for a proper swim. The communal areas are big, light and airy with Juliet balconies. The dining room table was great to eat at and play games. The kitchen was well equipped with modern appliances including an induction hob! There is lots of crockery to have a fully loaded dishwasher and still have enough to go around. There is a supply of plastic child and pool friendly "crockery" also. There is a washing machine and ironing board in an outbuilding that is accessed from the terrace. There is also a toilet situated just inside the front door. The terrace was a lovely suntrap. The master bedroom is very large with a large double bed, a walk-in wardrobe with a safe; the ensuite has a walk-in shower. The other bedrooms on the upper floor are a double and a twin which can share the family bathroom which has a large bath, great for toddlers and a handheld shower. The lower floor consists of 2 double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. One has a walk in shower and the other a jacuzzi with a handheld shower. These are both situated off a smaller room that has bunkbeds and can easily fit a cot if needed. There is also a toilet in the hall of the ground floor which was great for the pool. The games room on the ground floor has a pool table and table football and gives access to the pool. There is also a dated entertainment system which we didn't attempt to use. There is a door to the garage which had a selection of toys and floaties for the pool. This is also where you control the outside lights from. The villa was ideal for our group of 7 adults and 2 toddlers. There is a great supermarket less than a 5 min flat walk away.

The instructions were not to leave the keys in the lockbox over the course of the holiday! However, having only one set of keys between 7 adults was quite inconvenient at times. The pool gates were not secured which could be a concern if there were slightly older children in your party. The games room has a bar area! It would have been useful if there had been a fridge for beers and cold drinks. The pool table is a little worse for wear and a chalk would have been helpful as would some children's' games. The shower in the LH downstairs bedroom didn't really work which was unclear from the jacuzzi instructions. We were a bit disappointed that the bedding wasn't changed during our 9 day stay as was suggested would happen from the information book. Also, better instructions for the bin collections would have been useful as would binbags that actually fitted the bin. However, these minor points did not detract from an overall brilliant villa and holiday.

Location in a quiet area. Pool was lovely and cleaned twice a week. Spacious villa, very responsive property management team.

Furniture in the villa could do with an upgrade. Very old couches, beds. The games room is huge and could have a lot more in it maybe a dart board and a better pool table. One of the baths on the lower ground had no plug so was not able to use it for the kids. Bath on the ground floor very big and wasn't easy to bath small kids in.
