The house was in a great location. Quiet neighborhood and close to lots of attractions.

We specifically sought out a place in Wears Valley since we’ve fallen in love with that area over the years. It’s far enough out but close enough to Pigeon Forge. We had 2 adults and 2 teens in our group. First with the positives, the house provided enough room for the four of us to spread out. The shower heads are nice and water pressure is as well. We had most of what we needed in the kitchen and a starter supply of paper products. The area is quiet and peaceful and the front porch was a favorite spot. The mattresses in the 3 bedrooms were memory foam. The firepit in the front was positioned well for shade to sit and relax. We arrived late in the evening and unfortunately there wasn’t much light in the driveway to unpack. We were surprised to have only 4 bath towels, 2 hand towels, 2 washcloths, one kitchen towel and one dish cloth for a week stay. We reached out to the hosts and replies were delayed since they were traveling too. However, the linen company did bring 4 more washcloths. It’s helpful to note there are no dressers or chest of drawers. One bedroom has a futon like sofa that was used to hold the luggage and another had a suitcase rack. 3 bedrooms had closets with a handful of hangers. It felt like the owners were still putting things together to use as a short-term rental with no bathroom hooks or towel rods and some unfinished parts. Still, everything worked out and we enjoyed our time in the area.

Wonderful place for family

The rental near Pigeon Forge looked great at first glance and had plenty of space for the five of us staying there. On paper, the amenities sounded amazing—pool table, darts, ping pong, poker table, and more—but unfortunately, many of them were unusable or poorly maintained.Positives:Spacious enough for 5 adults.Good layout and a nice look from the outside.Advertised amenities could make it a fun place if they were kept up.Negatives:The house was dirty upon arrival and needed spot cleaning.Trim and baseboards were just raw 2x4s, giving it an unfinished look. All the doors rubbed against the floor and were hard to open/close.Not enough towels provided—we had to buy our own along with laundry soap and paper towels.Amenities were disappointing: no darts for the dart board, broken paddles for ping pong, a flimsy/uneven pool table, and a poker table with upholstery falling off.Overall, this place has potential but feels rushed and unfinished. With some proper maintenance, cleaning, and investment in quality amenities, it could easily be a great rental. As it stands, I’d give it 5 out of 10.
