About this cottage rental
Hello Muskoka! ☀️ Welcome to our family friendly, fully reno'd waterfront cottage set on 115' of waterfront w/ private beach, 3 stylish bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and lots of water toys. Located in the heart of Muskoka (10 mins to Bala/20 mins to Gravenhurst), dining, shopping & entertainment are all close by. Clear Lake brewery is on our road!
Relax under the whispering pines, soak in tranquil sunsets, and enjoy campfires under the darkest, star filled skies you've ever seen!
Our newly built 2-level cottage is located on a gently sloping waterfront property beneath towering pines. It was purpose built (2024) with young families in mind and is just feet from the water's edge, making it a perfect place to enjoy your Muskoka getaway, while still close to amenities. Outside you'll find plenty of seating (both shade & sun), a sandy beach, large dock with loungers, lakeside Sauna & water toys for everyone!
WHAT'S INCLUDED:
- Cottage, bunkie & SAUNA!
- All bed linens, pillows & duvets for 3 bedrooms and bunkie
- 2x bath towels and washcloths per bedroom (8 in total)
- Fully stocked kitchen: quality pots, pans & dishes, serving trays & bowls, cutting boards, pans, strainer, utensils for serving & eating (incl. kids), knife set, mugs, glasses & wine glasses, mixer & bowls, pizza cutter
- Dishwasher, stove, microwave, fridge/freezer, water cooler (3 jugs provided), BBQ & blender
- Dish soap, dishwasher tabs, garbage bags & roll of paper towels
- Shampoo, body wash & hand soap
- Coffee (1 bag to use w/Smeg drip coffee machine)
- Condiments: oil, s&p, spices, ketchup/mustard/relish
- Board games
- Canoe, kayaks (kids & adult), SUPs (kids & adult), pedal boat
- Firewood & propane
- Garbage removal (just place in roadside bin)
WHO'S IT FOR?
The cottage was designed w/ families in mind, but also makes a great spot for small groups (2 couples) or even 2 small families. Gullwing Lake is a quiet lake great for canoeing and exploring.
EXTERIOR:
Flat user-friendly property. Plenty of seating (shade & sun) around the property. SAUNA is just steps from the lake, so is the firepit. Wood is included.
MAINFLOOR:
Once you enter you'll be drawn towards the lake. The open concept kitchen leads to the dining & living rooms, with direct access to the waterfront deck and BBQ. On the deck there's a dining table for 8 and 4 swivel chairs by the propane fire pit (perfect for summer nights). Easy beach/dock access from both sides of the deck.
KITCHEN:
Fully stocked kitchen with everything you'll need to prepare meals. Cooking essentials (oil, s&p, spices, ketchup, mustard, relish), coffee (Smeg drip coffee machine), basic cleaning supplies and dishwasher tabs, all provided.
DINING:
Beside the kitchen is the dining table for 8. Bench seating is perfect for small kids and a highchair is available upon request. On the deck there is another 8-person outdoor dining table.
LIVING ROOM:
Open living room with vaulted ceilings and a large ceiling fan make this a great place to gather and relax while taking in the views. On cooler nights or rainy days, keep warm by the propane fireplace. Inside the coffee table you'll find a variety of board games for your enjoyment.
MAIN FLOOR BEDROOM (bedroom 2):
Queen bed (Endy mattress) with forest views, this bedroom is easily located on the main floor and nestled beside the full main floor bathroom & shower. Armoire for all your storage needs.
MAIN FLOOR BATHROOM:
Full bathroom & shower, with an awning window in the shower for private forest views.
UPSTAIRS:
Upstairs you'll find a full bathroom & shower, the primary bedroom (bedroom 1) and the bunk bed room (bedroom 3). Baby gate at the top of the stairs, if needed.
PRIMARY BEDROOM (bedroom 1 in pics):
King bed (Endy mattress) with lake views. Large ceiling fan to stay cool, electric baseboards to warm up. 50" smart TV. 2 large dressers to unpack, as well as spacious bedside tables with more storage if needed.
BUNK BEDROOM (bedroom 3 in pics):
Fun bedroom for kids featuring a log bunk bed (Ikea double mattress on bottom, single on top) with lots of cottage-themed kids books and reading lights in each bed. Large ceiling fan to cool down or baseboard heaters to warm up. All windows have 4" opening safeguards in place (can be removed if you wish), and baby gate at the top of the stairs.
UPSTAIRS BATHROOM:
Full bathroom & shower, with an awning window in the shower for private forest views. Bathroom is shared for bedrooms 1 & 3 upstairs.
BUNKIE/WORKSPACE:
Detached bunkie with private workspace. Includes a day bed (turns into a King bed). Sliding door with view of the lake leads out to a private bunkie deck with 2 rocking chairs - a perfect spot to escape the sun or enjoy a morning coffee.

My family and I had a wonderful weekend at Ben and Jess’s cottage. Their attention to detail was great and we loved the fully stocked kitchen. The cottage was beautifully desgined and we enjoyed a snowshoe walk out on the lake. Location was great with lots to do. The only downside is that they’re all booked up for the summer so we’ll have to plan ahead next year Overall, we would highly recommend!!!

We love staying at this quiet winter getaway. We skied and snowshoed into Torrance Barrens, and soaked our bodies in a beautiful sauna! We really appreciated all the detail the detail, the host put into furnishing this remarkable place, particularly the kitchen. It's a pleasure to prepare a meal at this cottage.
