Olitas House Nias

Alex’s Olitas house is the best, we spent 10 amazing days at his house modern, silent, and just perfect for a surf trip. The staff was always present and very helpful, for sure we will be back

Alojamiento acogedor , cuco, bien pensado y diseñado y muy cerquita del pico para coger olas. La habitación que reservamos era espaciosa , con mucha luz , vistas a la jungla y tiene una terraza ideal con hamaca, rack para tablas y una sombrilla. Habiendo estado 14 noches en Lagundri volvería a quedarme aquí pues es con diferencia el mejor alojamiento del pueblo! Me ha encantado.

Aunque Alex (el dueño) es encantador, los servicios adicionales y el personal que se encarga de hacer el hosting son bastante descuidados y poco resolutivos. Sería una lástima si alojamiento se deteriorase pronto por esto, pues es una casita fantástica. Limpieza de habitaciones no incluida. Por el precio y comparando a otros alojamientos de indonesia, que el houskeeping no esté incluido y se cobre no nos gustó pero es cosa de la gestión local, el alojamiento es una maravilla.

We loved everything. Honestly there was nothing to not love. The house was spacious, beautiful interior design, super nice staff and communication was great.

Before our arrival, we had several problems regarding our reservation. We had booked the Queen Room specifically because we needed indoor space to work remotely. The property later told us that this room was unavailable and that we would be moved to a double room without suitable indoor working space because another guest was using the Queen Room. As an alternative, the host offered to place a table on the outdoor terrace. This was not a realistic substitute for an indoor workspace, given the heat and humidity in Nias in August. After several discussions, we were eventually allowed to keep the Queen Room. However, we were not given access to the advertised shared indoor areas, including the shared kitchen, because we were told that another guest had exclusive use of them. The property gave us a motorbike free of charge during our stay, which we appreciated. However, this was not an equivalent replacement for the kitchen and indoor common areas that formed part of the accommodation we had booked and needed for remote work. The main issue was not the room itself, but the lack of transparency and the difference between the facilities advertised and those actually made available to us.
