Stable Cottage

Stable Cottage is a beautiful place to stay. It was super clean and provided absolutely everything we needed to have a comfortable, home from home stay. Located in a stunning, quiet area next to the New Forest. It’s a great base for visiting local areas as well as Portsmouth with its Spinnaker Tower and taking the Hovercraft over to the Isle of Wight for the day. Christchurch was another beautiful area, about a 15 minute drive away with a castle and a gorgeous beach. We took our 1 year old dog with us and found many lovely walks to do. The local pub is only a short relaxing walk away which we did on a few evenings and sat in the garden with a nice cold beer. We would love to stay at beautiful Stable Cottage again hopefully in the near future. We didn’t meet the hosts as keys were in a locker.

The back garden steps were a bit difficult to navigate and the grass at the top area was quite overgrown but this was really only used for our dog so not really an inconvenience. The front door lock was very difficult to use, I think it may need changing.

The location was perfect for woodland walks, so close for exploring Burley and Bournemouth beach was just a short drive away. The kitchen was beautiful and the sofas and beds were comfy!

The room with the toilet in was smaller than we were expecting and had no ventilation.
