Privacy

This place was close to the event we were attending, which was the main thing we were looking for. The room itself was acceptable, and the common area were a bit minimal but also acceptable.

The hosts were difficult to communicate with. They give you three different phone numbers, an email address, and you can communicate through the booking.com website. However, on the day we were to check in, I called all the numbers without reaching anyone, I texted without getting a reply, I sent emails and didn't get a reply, and I sent a message through the website without getting a reply. We finally got a reply, but it was after the supposed check in time of 3:00, which meant we had to leave the event we were attending in order to check in. The driveway is big enough for 3 cars, but a huge vehicle was parked in the middle of the driveway taking up all the space so we had to park on the street. The pre-check in process is also a hassle - you have to fill out an online form, and they ask you to scan your passport or other ID and send it to them. The price for a simple room for the night is high, but prices for ordinary hotels or motels in Oakville are crazy expensive so I guess it was reasonably good value.
