Apartmán pri lanovke Nová Hoľa L&F Donovaly Tatran

The owner is very helpful and can easily be reached with problems or questions. Responded every message in a very reasonable time, and was willing to communicate in English, which is not so common in Slovakia. The apartment is very well equipped, even for families with kids (there are e.g. a set of building blocks, table football, darts, Activity Junior). Altogether 3x2+1 people can be accomodated. Great kitchen, with many dishes and equipments, even with scissors! The bedroom on the upper floor is fantastic, teenagers surely love it. The living room has soundproof windows, good to sleep there (the groundfloor bedroom is a bit noisy though, not for sensitive sleepers). There is a beautiful little balcony, great for having breakfast with the landscape in front of your teacup. The house in which the apartman is located, i.e., the large yellow triangular building "Tatran", is easy to find, it is on the northern end of Donovaly and well visible from the road if arriving from south. In a few steps from the house there is the lower station of the lanovka going up to Nova Hola, a peak from where hang-gliders start their descent down to the valley. Also within a few minutes, there is a kids entertainment park, with a lot of activities.

There were only very minor issues. Previous guests left the dishes rather dirty, so upon arrival, every dish had to be manually carefully washed before first use. There are no shutters, which is not a problem in the ski season when the nights are long, but may be an issue in summer for sensitive sleepers who should be prepared by bringing their blackout sleep mask. There are not enough plugs, so if you want to use mobile chargers and laptops at the same time, bring an extension cord with multiple outlets.
