About this apartment rental
The new apartment, “The Whale,” has been carefully renovated and decorated in keeping with San Sebastián’s “romantic” style, offering our valued guests an exclusive atmosphere just steps from the world-famous La Concha Beach and right in the heart of the city. We hope you enjoy this relaxing and comfortable space.
The building has a small elevator that fits two people, and the apartment is well worth it.

The apartment features a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living-dining room, three bedrooms, and two bathrooms, one of which is en suite with the master bedroom.
Two of the bedrooms have two 90 cm x 200 cm beds, and the other bedroom has a king-size bed measuring 180 cm x 200 cm.
The living-dining area offers an ideal space to enjoy relaxing evenings during your vacation. The house is very bright; the living-dining room has two outdoor balconies and a bay window, and the bedrooms open onto a very charming open courtyard.
The kitchen is equipped with high-end appliances and a full set of kitchenware. There is a capsule coffee machine and cookies/pastries available for our guests.
The building has a small elevator for 2–3 people
I’ll be available to help guests with any issues that may arise during their stay, and I’ll be happy to offer all kinds of advice about San Sebastián, the city where I was born and have lived most of my life.
We’re located in the center of San Sebastián, specifically in what’s known as the “romantic” area of San Sebastián. This area is known for its numerous prestigious boutiques, La Concha Beach, and the “Buen Pastor” Cathedral, among other attractions. Reyes Católicos Street, where the apartment is located, offers a wide variety of dining options, from breakfast at the Old Town Café to lunch at various restaurants.
The central train and bus station is 500 meters from the apartment, a 6-minute walk. If you’re coming by car, the nearest parking lot is 200 meters away and is called “El Buen Pastor”; the price is around €24 per day. There are two other parking lots nearby: “San Martín” and “La Concha.” Very close to the apartment, there are also bus stops from which you can travel to any part of the city. Even so, thanks to the apartment’s excellent location and the city’s compact size, you don’t need a car or public transportation to visit the city’s most iconic sites.
The apartment is right in the heart of the city, 100 meters from the Buen Pastor Cathedral, 300 meters from La Concha Beach, and 800 meters from the Old Town, world-renowned for its sophisticated and delicious cuisine featuring “pintxos.”
Parking is not available in the building, and it’s difficult to find a spot nearby, so we recommend using private parking lots. The closest private parking lot is less than 200 meters away; it’s called “El Buen Pastor.” There are two other parking lots nearby: “San Martín” and “La Concha.”
We have an alarm system installed in the apartment that is activated only when guests are not staying there. The alarm system consists of a detector at the front door and two motion sensors that are triggered only in the event of an intrusion when the alarm is armed.

We enjoyed our time in San Sebastián and our stay in this apartment was a large part of making our stay comfortable. We traveled there with two young kids and they enjoyed the space and openness of the apartment. The location was perfect for our needs and was very convenient with a supermarket and restaurants very close by. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for a 6 night stay. Thank you to Mikel and his wife for making our stay very inviting.

The apartment was in a prime location with easy access to everywhere. It was very comfortable and clean and the host, Mikel, was kind, gracious and very accommodating and quick to respond to any questions. I would highly recommend this apartment and location.

Ideal base to explore San Sebastián. Within easy walk of La Concha beach and the old town but away from the hordes of tourists (yep just like us). The Amara neighbourhood was vibrant and lively, full of interesting shops and bars and cafes. We also crossed the river to Gros area for one of our host’s recommendations- we were not disappointed. But the star of it all was the apartment. Done to a superb standard the place was absolutely spotless. Air conditioned on our arrival so we immediately had respite from the hot afternoon. We were an amazed by how much space we had. Everything was top notch and it was a pleasure staying there.

We loved this apartment! It was a beautiful space in a wonderful central location. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby and yet very quiet when you are in the apartment. The host was very helpful and responsive to our questions about the area.
