About this cottage rental
Feel a sense of calm wash over you the second you open your car door at this completely secluded fairytale cottage in the woods. Enjoy your morning coffee with the crisp scent of firs or enjoy a late night soak in the hot tub while looking at the stars. No matter what you do, you will be at peace with your loved ones at this retreat! This property boasts enough nature to stay put and explore, or hike the connected Zaleski backpacking trail. Lake Hope and Hocking Hills are a close drive! The cottage has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. On the main floor is the cozy master queen size bedroom, and upstairs there are two additional bedrooms. One has a full size bed and a twin bed, and the other, arguably the second master, has a queen size bed as well. We offer a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook meals for the weekend. In the morning, drink your coffee from the beautiful deck or enjoy a soak in the hot tub, looking right into pine trees with view of the pond down the hill. We provide high speed internet through Starlink, so you can work remotely if needed. Or choose to disconnect! At night, enjoy nature by having a fire with friends and family at our fire-pit down by the pond, soaking in the soothing sounds of nature and enjoying the stars. To see the Milky Way on a clear night, go to the orchard right off the house for the best view!

The cozy, secluded cabin was exactly as described. We had a great time taking in the sites of the surrounding area and coming back to the cabin for family games, movies and s’mores by the fire pit.

The place is as listed with the exception of the location being on a secluded piece of land on a gravel driveway that requires a four wheel drive or all wheel drive vehicle to get up the hill. That information was not disclosed until the check in information was provided on our way to the property which was anxiety-producing. The property is very quaint and decorated with an esthetic that is well executed.

Stayed for 3 nights with family and had a great time. The property was as described in the listing and clean when we arrived. Had everything we needed. Super secluded and private with plenty of outdoor space for our group of 7 adults. Bonfire area and hot tub were nice at the end of a long day exploring Hocking Hills and the surrounding area. The town had a power outage the last night we were there. The host was very responsive and helped us problem solve so we were able to get back to enjoying our trip. Would recommend heeding the advice of the host on having an AWD or 4WD vehicle to get up the driveway. That incline was no joke! Two of our three vehicles made it up the drive without issue (Toyota Rav 4 and an AWD Ford Escape). Tried three times with the last one (2WD Ford Fusion) and then was able to reverse up the drive (do not recommend this solution for all sorts of reasons). So believe the host when they tell you it’s a steep drive.Thanks for a pleasant weekend away!
