Overall, this place is a good stay. If it were just me and the boys, all is mostly perfect, especially given the price and location on the river. With that being said, I booked this stay with the wive, kids, and father-in-law during a State football weekend. Don't show up looking for 5-star linens and towels. The soap in the bathrooms and kitchen hasn't been replaced in a long time because the cleaning people have kept adding water to the bottles to where it's just water in them. There was a very old kitchen scrub pad that had seen a lot of bad stuff. The stay could have been a lot better if the dart board worked and the pool table had better felt on it and sticks with real tips. It looks like the newer doc is getting steps which will be a great addition to access. We still fished and caught several small cats which was a lot of fun! Roasted smores on the firepit was the highlight of the weekend! Better access instructions to which particular driveway would have been greatly appreciated! Thanks! I would stay again for a guys trip.

Place was as advertised. Great hangout with river access. Issues: trash was left in the cans downstairs, for a while. Drawing flies. The last guest could have done better with that. Reported that upon check in and moved the stinky fly ridden trash bag into the one trash can that had a lid. Checkout instructions were to put lids on all trash. Well, impossible. Otherwise, I enjoyed the property EXCEPT when the smoke detector failed and went into alarm mode Saturday morning at 0800 when I was attempting to enjoy some sleep. There was no ladder to access it. The host fixed it at some point. After I took my other guest home, came back and suffered its bark for 8 1/2 hours. And waited several hours for someone to fix it. I should have just called the fire department. Considered shooting the thing. Ruined that day, and the ensuing night. Spent money in a local restaurant since the place was uninhabitable. Nicole was sweet and helped as she could. That said, I deserve a refund for that day.
