Set your sights on long-range views with visits to Bell Mountain in Hiawassee (20-minute drive) and Brasstown Bald (highest point in GA, 35-minute drive). Spend the day on Lake Chatuge with a boat or personal watercraft rental from a local marina or launch your own from nearby public access. Want to immerse yourself in nature in the Nantahala National Forest? Bring your mountain bikes and ride the first-class trails at Jackrabbit Mountain (also great for hiking and dog-friendly) less than 5 minutes from the property. Fires Creek Recreation Area (25-minute drive) is another Western NC local favorite for hiking with picturesque views, swimming, and trout fishing. On the GA side, take a 30-minute drive to a waterfall hike via the High Shoals Falls Trail or make the 45-minute drive to Alpine Helen, GA for a taste of Bavaria in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There are two "local" airports 1 in Andrews NC and the other in Blairsville GA.

*Only the number of people the house sleeps are allowed at the property at any given time.

* The lake level starts going down after Labor Day weekend. There is not water under the dock year around.

This was the perfect spot for my family of 8. We hardly left and spent our days on the dock out by the lake. We loved it!

The house is beautiful and large enough for a group of 12 (ages 1, 10, 17, 18, 21, 21, 23, 23, 27, 27, 44, 46) not to be on top of each other! The view of the lake is amazing but even better mountain view at the dock. We come to the lake at least twice a year and this was by far one of our favorite houses! We even took some impromptu senior pics in the backyard! The kitchen is stocked with everything you need, high end appliances and grill, and a pleasure to cook in! Also a cool wet bar area. We have stayed in houses that Priscilla has managed before and she is amazing! Any questions or concerns we had were addressed quickly (not that we had any concerns!) and she is very friendly. The cove is perfect for swimming and boat protection. You're not constantly getting waked out. If you have a small child, I would definitely recommend bringing a baby gate! I think I saw you could rent them when you book too. Oh and comfortable beds! I hate to leave my sleep number at home and slept great there!

We had the best stay at Lakeside Therapy. The house is beautifully furnished. The kitchen is well equipped. The bathrooms are all newly redone. The home is situated on a beautiful cove off of Lake Chatuge with a dock and close access to several marinas for boat rental and gas. Priscilla was extremely helpful to answer any questions we might have. We can't wait to return. Highly recommend!!!!!
