Greenmoret AgriTourism Villa

Greenmoret Villa is a wonderful place with a stunning view. Here you'll find peace and tranquility. You'll wake up with monkeys and birds. The family is warm-hearted, respectful, and they offer a warm welcome. They speak good English. I had a lovely, large, clean room with a comfortable bed and a hot shower. They mainly grow vegetables in the surrounding garden and pots. They're pesticide-free and for their own use. The hostess cooks delicious food—truly Sri Lankan, not touristy meals. Every night, I had a different meal for a small fee. The host takes you on a beautiful hike: vegetable terraces, a small river, and through the forest. If you want a truly authentic Sri Lankan experience, this is the place to be. You won't find mass tourism here. You'll find the great Sri Lankan hospitality. If you'd like to attend a ceremony or do something else, for example, let the host know your wishes (in advance), and he'll arrange it for you. Thank you for the wonderful time and the good conversations. I enjoyed everything.

Die Ruhe, ich konnte mich sehr gut entspannen und entschleunigen. Die Temperaturen waren mit ca. 24 Grad sehr angenehm. Der Chef der Pension hat für mich vieles organisiert unter anderem eine Ayourveda Anwendung. Das Essen war vorzüglich ich konnte selbst bestimmen was mir gekocht werden sollte und dann auch noch zu welcher Uhrzeit

The owner was lovely. He has returned to SL after many years in the UK and was both hospitable and professional. He was very helpful and ordered us dinner as well as making an excellent breakfast. We received juice on arrival, had an entire floor for ourselves and our driver who became a good friend, and the rooms were good including a nice bathroom. There was also a kitchen. When our vehicle was stuck and couldn't move the owner and some neighbours helped push it.

The access and location are not great. It is well off the road and is extremely steep access. Our van got stuck, but thankfully we got out. With better access, the score would've been better.

Location

Hot water facilities were almost not there in one of the rooms. Although we are one family with 4 kids and booked 2 rooms which should be at least in one floor , we were given rooms in two different floors where kids stayed alone in down floor which we felt uncomfortable.
