18th Century Cottage in Heart of Dorset

The location is lovely. The house was very cool in the hot weather! Well equipped kitchen. It had everything we needed.

The en-suite walk in shower never worked - despite two call outs. This was rather disruptive as I had to deal with endless messages … The cottage does need a bit of attention - paper peeling off the walls - particularly in the family bathroom. Bulbs not working in master bedroom, and not enough lamps. But - what would be a real benefit is to have an outside table and chairs for eating. The rusty small round table and two chairs are not enough. It’s a really special property but requires a bit of TLC.

Lovely stone cottage in a gorgeous, tranquil location within easy reach of Sherborne's excellent facilities (3 supermarkets, easy parking, pubs, coffee shops, restaurants and other good shops). Cycling through peaceful scenic lanes and countryside felt very safe with many pubs and cafés to call in on. Stourhead was a highlight though a long ride but easy to reach by car

Very clean. Everything we could possibly need was provided. Quiet, comfortable, full of character.

Would have helped to have a little map provided showing the location of the house in relation to its parking space. Parking is not on a drive but is very close to the house and perfectly safe. It just wasn't completely obvious and had to be pointed out by a neighbour.
