The Social Hub Glasgow Extended Stay

Room was great, lots of storage. Bed was comfy.

The facility has systems in place to hold occupants accountable for keeping common areas clean and be respectful of other occupants BUT they don’t utilize them. Common kitchen areas were dirty. Laundry room was chaos. It was very unfortunate. They also didn’t communicate well about us - as long stay guests - having a discount in the cafe.

The facilities went above and beyond all expectations. Laundry access was amazing. Customer service was top notch. The shared kitchen was an unexpected positive. The terrace bar was fantastic. Prices were very reasonable. Extra touches in room were really thoughtful, including toiletries, hankies and abundance of plug sockets.

We would have liked a safe in the room. A small shelf in the bathroom for glasses and jewellery would have been good. An extra chair for second customer would have been nice.

Temačna soba. Je sicer veliko luči v sobi ,ampak očitno niso postavljene na pravem mestu ali pa prešibke. Trenutno je na nasprotni ulici gradbišče in je potrebno imeti popolnoma zaprta okna zaradi hrupa. Ob popolnoma zaprtem oknu hrup ni moteč. Pogrešam en mini hladilnik v sobi,

Good central location

Some of the furnishings were not fit for purpose, they looked trendy but did not work e.g. reading lamp faced down away from bed and overhead leighting angled away from bed head so you could not read in bed. No hook near sink for handtowel, no drawer for clothes in a long-stay studio. Square below was noisy so lots of noise from below, asked to be given quiet room at the back but were given a front one. Duvet too thick, only sheets provided as an alternative, these were removed mid week and I had to ask for new ones, those that were put on the bed mid week were stained. Reception isle design meant staff did not know who had been waiting longest to be served and this led to an argument between guests. Asked three times for the bid to be emptied (self catering studio in a heatwave) midweek, and in the end were given a plastic bag to change ourselves and were shown the utility corridor to dispose of our own rubbish.
