Joshua und seine Familie sind wundervolle Gastgeber. Wir haben uns oft sehr nett unterhalten und wir bekamen immer wieder frisches Obst oder Kräuter aus dem eigenen Garten. Castara ist ein ruhiges Fischerdorf mit einer überschaubaren Anzahl an Einwohnern und Touristen. Man kennt sich und man lebt hier absolut sicher, alle Leute sind freundlich, aufgeschlossen, dabei keineswegs aufdringlich. Unser Apartment war sehr schön gelegen mit Blick zum Meer aber auch zum tropischen Regenwald. Morgens wird man von den Vögeln geweckt, zum Strand geht man 3 Minuten. Mit Taucherbrille und Schnorchel gibt es einiges zu sehen: Rochen, Schildkröten und viele bunte Fische: Fast jeden Abend gibt es irgendwo im Ort ein Event, sei es das Lagerfeuer am Strand, Trommeln in der Little Bay oder Steelpan-Musik bei Cheno's.
Die Adressangabe ist etwas verwirrend. Tatsächlich betritt man das Gelände über den Eingang zu Cheno's. Da wir im Dunkeln ankamen, hatten wir zunächst Schwierigkeiten, es zu finden. Vielleicht stellt Joshua mal ein Schild auf ;-).

The views was the most amazing views ever, the sunset was breaktaking. The host was so helpful and kind, she even drove me to the village and showed me around. She constantly checked in to make sure that I was okay and did not needed anything. As a female solo traveler, she would offer to pickup meals and did on a couple occasions. The room was well equipped with everything I needed. It was definitely a perfect stay and I would recommend it and will definitely stay here again.

Nice view. Helpful staff. Good location in town and close to beach. Compact well equipped studio apartment. Good value.
Climb up to the apartment. Finding the place was difficult. Just say go to Cheno's coffee shop.

Beautiful scenery, a perfectly functional, clean, and welcoming apartment. The owner was very attentive to our needs and desires. We even extended our stay. Thank you again for the hospitality, and we will definitely return. Thank you again for everything
