Jacaranda Beach Villa

The location was excellent as it was only 50m from the beach and another 50m or so to bars & Restaurants. The villa was modern and well equipped and had a TV in the master bedroom. The pool was heated so useable in all weathers, as was the hot tub. Fridge freezer with ice dispenser was good and the welcome pack was a nice touch. The roof top terrace has a good view to the sea.

The beds had memory foam mattress toppers which we did not like, they may suit some people but we find them to restrict movement and cause sweating. The main large sliding door from the living area to the pool was not working so we had to access the pool via a bedroom. There was only room for one car to park and that was outside the villa next to the access road.

Ive stayed in 4 large villas in this area over the last few years and have walked past this one several times and was keen to try it. This villa is in an excellent position being a few minutes walk from the beach and town but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. A great supermarket is a 10 minute walk and I took advantage of their delivery service to have everything delivered at 5pm the day we arrived. There are a range of restaurants and bars within a 10 minute walk, all those we tried were good. The villa is well kept and very comfortable. All 4 bedrooms are spacious doubles, the kitchen is very well equipped and the living area light and airy with plenty of seating and a large dining table if eating inside. Aircon everywhere is excellent. The table outside is surprisingly shady and cool and we ate lunch there every day. Unlike for others, Rita was not there to greet us but I had WhatsApp contact with her and met her just before we left. The cheese and wine left in the fridge was most welcome.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about this villa and Id recommend to others. Only slight negative was that the main sliding door out to the pool was in need of repair so was difficult to open & close. The pool area is lovely and very well kept as is the pool however Id say it was tight for 8 people but as there were only 3 of us it was ideal

Superb central location, wonderful communication and very kind and accommodating cleaner and housekeeper, lovely warm pool, efficient aircon, very comfortable large beds.

For the price, we would have liked the property to have been cleaned once during the week and towels changed. I also find it disappointing to have to buy dishwasher tablets, hand soap, loo roll etc.

Das Design der Villa ist außergewöhnlich, geschmackvoll, modern und sehr geräumig. Von der Betreuung vor Ort wurden wir herzlich in Empfang genommen. Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet in einer ruhigen Nachbarschaft und es sind nur ein paar Schritte zum feinsandigen Strand. Es gibt ausreichend Privatsphäre, der beheizte Pool und Whirlpool sind sehr angenehm. Es war wirklich entspannend dort Zeit zu verbringen. Der Außenbereich der Villa ist sehr gepflegt und schön, mit einem Grill und Pizzaofen. Praia da Luz bzw. Luz ist ein kleiner beschaulicher Ort, der offensichtlich vom Massentourismus noch verschont geblieben ist. An der schönen Promenade gibt es einige nette Restaurants und Cafés, die fußläufig erreichbar sind. Wer Ruhe, Privatsphäre und Erholung sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Wir würden sofort wiederkommen und können die Villa uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Etwas Grillkohle oder Holz bei Ankunft wäre angenehm und toll gewesen, aber dies ist wirklich nur eine Kleinigkeit. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt waren die Verbrauchsartikel (Bad/Küche) etwas knapp bemessen.
