Cicadas Nature Resort - A Frame cottages

After a busy work schedule, I really wanted to take some time off and escape into nature. So, on 27th September 2026, I travelled to Kerala and spent a few wonderful days in Kalpetta. For my stay, I booked Cicada Nature Resort, and honestly, I couldn’t have chosen a better place. 🌿 The property has a beautiful vibe, surrounded by nature, and it was the perfect place to slow down, relax, and enjoy some much-needed peace. A special mention to the owner, Mr. Ranjeet, who was a wonderful host. He was extremely helpful, welcoming, and always willing to go the extra mile to make his guests feel special and comfortable. Mr. Akshay, the caretaker, also played a big part in making our stay memorable. He was incredibly attentive and prepared some amazing snacks and tea whenever we asked. The breakfast at the property was another highlight. Akshay made sure we got to try different dishes and surprised us with an amazing breakfast menu throughout our stay. Every meal felt thoughtful and homely. Overall, it was such a wonderful experience that I honestly wished we could have stayed a few more days. Unfortunately, work commitments called us back. A big thank you to Mr. Ranjeet and Mr. Akshay for your warm hospitality and for making our stay at Cicada Nature Resort so special. ❤️ Definitely a place I would love to visit again! 🌿✨

Couldn't have asked something better.

Facilities and services

Nil. All perfect

It’s very nice

Everything is good

We had a wonderful and memorable stay at Cicadas. The location is amazing, and the drive up was a good challenge 🙂 The view from our cottage was amazing and the location of the property is excellent. It is on top of a steep hill with excellent views. It is fairly isolated and free from all sort of pollution (smoke, noise, dust etc). It has excellent views of the mountains and a far off lake. Sitting in the balcony is a serene experience that is worth the steep climb. It has safe parking for 2-3 cars. The cabins are very well furnished, and very clean and well-maintained. The staff at the property comprises 2 young men who take immense care of guests and are proud to run the place. In resorts we often find staff who speak nicely and offer help. But from experience one can understand they are doing what the company demands. But these 2 youngsters are quite naturally sincere and happy to engage with guests and ensure they have a wonderful stay at Cicadas.

We don't have any negative comments about the property. For people looking for a full fledged resort experience, this property does not qualify to actually be called a "Resort". It is a 1-acre wild property with 2 beautiful A-Frame Cottages that are well furnished. There is a small open area for a bonfire. There are no other facilities in the property.
