About this house rental
Guests have access to the 40ft dock and beautiful Sebasticook Lake water, perfect for swimming, fishing and water sports. Boat rentals are available at the marina on the lake! The large platform at the end of the 40ft dock makes for comfortable boarding and securing of your boat during your stay. There are 6 kayaks, 2 paddle boards, floats for lounging in the water and a paddleboat on site as well as life jackets for children and adults.

Hamlin's Marine, located right on Sebasticook Lake offers boat rentals available on the web.
Fogg Brook golf course is located just 10 minutes away from the house.
Dining tables with umbrellas and chairs that can accommodate 16 can be found on the wraparound deck. Enjoy the beautiful waterfront and recline by the shore under the shade on the shoreline with our 10 lakeside rocking chairs.
Maplewood Lake House offers a premium, peaceful Maine lakefront experience without sacrificing all the modern conveniences. High speed wireless internet and a strong cellular data signal keep you connected anywhere you go, inside and out.
Public boat launch is a 5 minute drive away with gas stations and grocery stores along the way. Walmart, Aubuchon Hardware, Advance Auto Parts, Tractor Supply, Dunkin' Donuts, McDonalds are just some of the conveniences that can be found just a 5 minute drive from Maplewood Lake House. Acadia National Park is a little over an hour drive away, and Sugarloaf Mountain is about a 1.5 hour drive from the lake house.
5 acres of lawn allows guests plenty of space and privacy to enjoy their Maine lakefront vacation in peace. Lawn games, fire pit (with access to on-site firewood) as well as a volleyball net are available as well.
The shoreline can be rocky so be sure to bring some flip flops or water shoes. A short, gentle walk across the beautiful grass lawn will allow you easy access to the shoreline and water front. The dock can be found underneath oak and maple trees along the shoreline, providing a nice shady spot out of the sun to lounge near the water. In addition to the dock, a separate area on the shore offers a large clear, gentle slope into the water that is perfect for launching kayaks and paddleboards. The water level at the end of the dock is about 6ft deep and begins to drop beginning on September 15 for annual lake maintenance.
5 Burner grill and 36in blackstone griddle can be found on the large wraparound water-facing deck that is perfect for outdoor entertaining. There is three 65in roku smart TV's and three separate living spaces for recharging after a day of lakeside adventures.
Popular snowmobile and ATV destination, Moosehead Trail is just a few minutes down the road and is part of the Maine Interconnected Trail System. The Large driveway provides plenty of room to park snowmobiles, ATVs and recreational vehicles for all your off-roading adventures.
Coming from a large family that uses Airbnb's to reunite with loved ones, we wanted to offer a space that helps bring families and groups together to create memories that will last lifetimes. We love spending time at the lake house with our dogs and we are happy to offer our space to you and your dogs as well!

We do host small weddings/events, but cannot be booked via Airbnb. We are not a dedicated wedding venue, but we love to see when people want to host their special day or event at our beautiful home. We will help in whatever way we can! However, we do not provide any wedding services, catering services, or equipment for the wedding or event. Also a few things to consider:

We charge an extra fee for all events. Events are considered to be any type of weddings (big or small), having more than 20 people at the house at any time, and having outside furniture and/or rental equipment at the house.
No dance floors are allowed inside or outside the home, moving furniture is not allowed, and the property must be left in the same condition as before the event.
We allow a max of 25 people on the property, and a max of 14 to sleep at the house.
We are not a typical event venue, and are not licensed or insured to host large events past 9pm. However, we will work with you the best we can to host you for your event and make it special, so please work with us.
Our housekeepers are a team of two wonderful local women who work VERY hard to make the home clean and inviting. With that said, we value feedback so feel free to message us with any questions or concerns.
You understand that swimming, boating, use of kayaks, paddleboards, paddleboat or any other recreational activity is at your own risk and that special risks may be involved. You accept full responsibility for any bodily injury arising from swimming, boating, use of kayaks, paddleboards, paddleboat or any other recreational activity and hold owner harmless. You understand there are potential dangers that swimming, boating, use of kayaks, paddleboards, paddleboat or any other recreational activity may present to children who are not carefully supervised, as well as the danger to any person if a person has health risks, or if a person is swimming, boating, uses kayaks, paddleboards, paddleboat or any other recreational activity while intoxicated or using any kind of drugs or medication, or while pregnant. This house is massive and the property is gorgeous! The house comfortably fit everyone (9 people) with every couple getting their own bedroom. The living areas were large enough for all of our friends and family to hang out in together. Also, we were all obsessed with whatever giant bean bag is in the main living room. The sunrise views were amazing from the primary and every room was very clean. As if that wasn't enough reason to stay, the host was extremely communicative and flexible. I received check in information and house details before it even crossed my mind. Our friends and I are already thinking of when we can return to this rental especially to enjoy all the water related amenities! 12/10 would recommend!!

The house and property were even better than the photos and Craig was a great host, even leaving us a welcome bag and personal note. I also really appreciate that the home was dog-friendly as our city pup had the best time of her life.

Check-in was seamless. The kitchen is large with a long center island allowing for multiple people to help with meal prep. There is a large fridge with a roll out freezer on the bottom. There is lots of room for dining on the deck. The waterfront was great with a large dock for tying up the party boat we rented. There are life jackets of many sizes. There is a rack of kayaks, paddle boards, and a paddle boat with easy access to the water separate from the swimming/ docking area. Great place!

So I am reviewing your beautiful home and all the great things to do at the house. The kids loved the fishing. One of the favorites. The volleyball slash badminton was a huge hit with the girls. The kayaks were clean and had life jackets were also very clean the rooms were good size especially the huge room that my cousin ended up with. We drew straws. The outdoor grill was a big hit grilled everything on its game changer. Bathrooms were very clean when we arrived. My favorite thing was going on the trail up the road a bit. I wish we could have stayed longer.wanted to see moose but settled with plenty of deer. And there was the restaurants. They were all very good. The sea dog brewery was excellent. All the scenery was fantastic. Hoping to get up there next year. Thank you for sharing the great experience. Thank you again. I will suggest to some of my friends and family.
