Artemis beachfront villa-on the waves, offers a perfect balance of luxury and comfort, serving as an exceptional base for exploring Crete. Named after the dynamic goddess of the wilderness and hunt, its beachfront location truly justifies the name “on the waves.”
Spread across three levels and 200 sqm, the villa accommodates up to nine guests and features elegant design, premium amenities, and a lush private garden that blends seamlessly with the sea.
On the ground floor, guests are welcomed by an open-plan living area with a large corner sofa, handcrafted details adorned with Swarovski crystals, ambient lighting, and a gas fireplace. A stylish dining area, a 65’’ curved Smart TV, and a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove and double-door fridge complete the setting, while large glass doors connect the interior with the terrace and garden.
The lower level includes a private gym with Kettler equipment, a playroom for all ages, a romantic double bedroom, a bathroom with bathtub, and a laundry area with washer, dryer, and storage.
Upstairs, the first floor is dedicated to refined hospitality. The master bedroom in soft earthy tones features a romantic metallic bed, Swarovski lighting, two private verandas with sea views, and an ensuite shower. Two more bedrooms, one double and one with bunk beds (a double and a single) and a luxurious bathroom with hydromassage shower, minibar, and stunning sea views complete this level.
Outdoors, Villa Artemis shines with expansive verandas offering privacy, panoramic sea views, and elegant lounging spaces. Enjoy breakfast or a romantic dinner on the terrace, surrounded by lush gardens and overlooking the archaeological site of the ancient Minoan pottery workshops dating back more than 3,000 years — a place chosen from the Minoans for its unique, mild microclimate.
Perfectly located just steps from Kato Gouves Beach and close to shops, cafés, and restaurants, the villa allows guests to enjoy a relaxing stay without the need for a car. Heraklion town is only 17 km away, the airport 12 km, Hersonissos resort just a 10-minute drive and Malia a 20-minute drive some 20 km away.
Guests of Villa Artemis enjoy free access to the nearby "Gouves playground" an ideal place for small kids to play and 10% discount at the owner’s adjacent shop "Cretan Shop", offering souvenirs and gifts. Fantastic home! Family friendly, we were there with our adult kids, 6 adults total, accommodated us easily. It would accommodate any ages as it has an adorable kids play room. Gym equipment, very comfortable rooms and beds, great useable kitchen and washer/dryer. The owner was incredibly responsive and so welcoming and kind, we felt right at home! The views, the views absolutely cannot be beat!! Comfortable patio looking out on the ocean and very short walk to the beach. Just stunning and so peaceful! Great location with restaurants and stores within walking distance. Highly recommend asking the owner about his own restaurant close by, everything was delicious!! Our itinerary included staying close some days as well as a day trips to Knossos and then Chanai and Rethymno. (2hrs and 1hr away respectively). Would absolutely stay here again!
