Prospect Street is where La Jolla puts its best face forward — a slow curve of galleries, boutiques, and sidewalk tables set high above the Pacific, with the water flashing between the buildings and sea lions barking somewhere below. Seashore I sits right on it, which means the village doesn't require a car, a plan, or much effort at all. You walk out the door and you're already in it. Inside, the mood is bright and beachy in the best Southern California sense — clean modern lines, light pouring in, a plush sofa that's very good at holding people hostage through an entire movie. It's the kind of interior that makes sense after a day in the salt and sun: easy to come back to, easy to relax in. When the day finally catches up with you, the king bed handles the rest. The coast is the neighborhood's whole argument. La Jolla Cove is a few minutes on foot — calm, clear water, snorkelers, sea lions sprawled across the rocks, and one of the better sunsets on this stretch of coast. Follow the bluff path south and the Children's Pool comes up in under ten minutes, usually packed with harbor seals dozing behind the seawall. Windansea and its surf break sit a little further down, and La Jolla Shores, wide and flat and made for long swims and paddleboards, is about a mile up the road. Birch Aquarium at Scripps is a five-minute drive, and Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve — cliff trails, twisted pines, ocean on three sides — is about fifteen minutes north. Closer in, the village handles the everyday. Shops, coffee, and a dense run of restaurants sit within a few blocks, so breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all walkable. For a day with more noise in it, Belmont Park and the Mission Beach boardwalk are roughly twenty minutes down the coast, with the old wooden roller coaster still running right on the sand. Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting this home, otherwise, if violations occur you may be subject to a fine that can reach up to $10,000. - Bookings must be made at least 24 hours before check-in. Same-day bookings are not permitted. - Absolutely no exterior amplified music is allowed. Violations will result in a $500 fine. - While we do our best to notify guests in advance, unannounced power outages may occur due to unexpected city maintenance. - No events are allowed unless pre-approved and coordinated through Avantstay. This includes but is not limited to: rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, birthday parties, and social gatherings. - All guests must comply with local laws regarding outdoor lighting, quiet hours, and limitations on parties or gatherings. Parking Details: - No parking is available on site, we highly encourage Uber or Lyft. Street parking is limited and garage parking is at a cost; not affiliated with our property. This home comes with a pack n' play travel crib and a high chair available. --- The room configuration is as follows: Primary Bedroom / King bed with En-suite Living room / Sleeper sofa + 2 twin size tri-fold sleeping mats --- This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs. As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation. Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees. There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions. As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards. IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 30 days require a security deposit. We report and prosecute all Credit Card Fraud.
