We chose this cabin for a weekend getaway because of the large deck and mountain views, and overall it was a great fit. Communication and pre-arrival information were thorough, and Google Maps got us there easily. Parking is in a large driveway with plenty of room to turn around.
The keypad did not work when we arrived, but a quick call to Brad got us inside right away. He was friendly and apologetic. The cabin itself is very nice, homey, and full of great mountain-themed décor, artwork, and log finishes. The open great room with huge windows is fantastic, and we especially enjoyed the expansive deck. There is more outdoor seating than the photos show, including a dining table and folding chairs, plus both covered and uncovered areas for sun or rain.
The layout works especially well for families or groups. The main floor has the great room, kitchen, two bedrooms, and a bathroom. Upstairs has a bedroom with a small balcony, bathroom, and loft/futon. Downstairs is a large king-bedroom/game room with a couch, bathroom, and laundry room. Bedrooms have TVs, fans, closets, soft blankets, storage, convenient outlets, and electric fireplaces. The heat worked extremely well and kept the cabin very warm overnight.
The kitchen has lots of counter/cabinet space, a large sink, dishwasher, and was well stocked. The house also provided paper towels, toilet paper, towels, toiletries, bedding, laundry and dishwasher soap, trash bags, and sponges. Tissues were not provided.
The biggest downside is the Wi-Fi. It is slow and unreliable, especially for streaming, and cell service is minimal. Download the arrival instructions and save the contact number before getting there. We also did not love the indoor dining setup. Instead of a traditional table, there is a buffet-style table with chairs, but no real knee space. Additional seating is at a sofa table with bar stools, small kitchen counter, or TV trays.
Otherwise, the cabin was comfortable, private, secluded, and perfectly adequate for our getaway. Being pet friendly was a huge plus. We saw deer, birds, and hummingbirds, and there was evidence of bear activity in the area, so guests should be bear aware. Thanks for hosting us!
