This is our third time in Palm Desert and we found Indio our least favorite place, having stayed in Palm Desert, La Quinta and Palm Springs.
The house is okay and need some maintenance, HVAC and deep cleaning work. Pictures made it look better than it was.

Kitchen and bathrooms have been beautifully redone in a sleek contemporary style. Light fixtures were gorgeous and can lighting was great. Kitchen had nice appliances and was fully stocked with dishes, utensils, serveware, cookware, etc adequate for meal preparation. Sectional and dining table and chairs functioned well in the living space.
However, the following detracted from our stay:
Towel supply (10 bath, 3 hand towels, 5 washcloths) sufficed for my family of 3 but was clearly inadequate for a home that sleeps 12.
Master shower door leaked thoroughly soaking a pool towel with every shower.
No shade on a circular window in the second primary bedroom and vertical window blinds missing slats in the master resulted in a lack of privacy and bright sunlight at 6 am. The vertical blinds in the living space were also missing slats resulting in a lack of privacy.
Master bed pillows needed to be replaced.
House could use minor repairs (loose master bath toilet paper holder, closet handle missing, etc.)
Sliding door leading directly to the pool/patio was so difficult to open we used an alternate slider and walked around the side of the home to access the pool/patio.
Pool was so overheated as to not be refreshing/usable.
Chaise lounge cushions were shredded; some wicker chairs were frayed, leaving uninviting sharp edges.
Garage was too short for a midsize SUV.
Other rentals provided written instructions/hints for renters & would have been of assistance for thermostats, garbage pick up & cable TV.
2 smart thermostats controlled different areas of the home and were preprogrammed. We had to reset many times as they kept reverting to the presets.
Garbage can was nearly full when we arrived so prior renters/cleaners had not taken it to the curb.
Contact was slow to respond & unhelpful. It took 4 days for her to text me after I left a voicemail asking how cable could be accessed. She stated she preferred texts over calls but did not answer my question about cable. I then texted again asking for directions. 5 days later she texted and said she was unable to explain how to access the cable. As far as my tech savvy child could tell, cable was nonexistent, despite the home being advertised as providing cable TV.
In short, while we generally enjoyed our stay, we would not rent this home again as these items made the home less attractive than it appeared in the photos.
