Gatwick Guest House - Short & Long Stay, Airport Parking, Airport Shuttle, Early & Late Check In - 49, RH11 8QX

IIt was good value for money and was comfortable. It was possible to get here for 3 pounds from the airport on one of the good local bus routes.

This is a random residential house is a random street. You are literally in a bedroom in a shared house. No staff, just instructions on how to get access. Everything works, but don't book if you are expecting any form of hotel/ guest house service. They suggest that they have a shuttle service, but really they don't They tell you that it will cost 26 pounds to book the shuttle, which is the same as an Uber. Also I have no idea how their supposed parking works, there is just maybe 2 random spaces on the street here.

It was basic but clean, most importantly it was considerably cheaper than other options.

It was quite close to Gatwick airport.

I did not realise that the accommodation was a HMO which was unmanned and only contact with owner was via phone messages. Whilst this was not a problem it felt very impersonal. The parking was on a drive in front of the property. There was already one vehicle on the drive with the rear passenger window smashed in. Quite worrying. The room was basic but the bed was extremely uncomfortable. The shared bathroom was not very clean with something in the bath left by another guest. All in all cheap and cheerful. Everything worked in the end.

Bathroom was nice

No tv in room despite being advertised as having one (although there was a remote control!). Mattress old and uncomfortable and bedding smelled musty. Kettle in room but no mugs, coffee, teabags etc. Towel provided was wet. Building is in noisy residential area. Room doors are heavy, meaning neighbours coming and going woke me up several times in the night
