Haphazard

Beds were comfy and bedding clean.

The whole property was haphazard. The room layout was bizarre. The communal areas were freezing cold despite the host telling us that the heating had been on for two hours prior to our arrival. Some rooms were only accessible by going outside. Some rooms had beds that were difficult to access. There were staircases of varying steepness throughout the property which were tricky for people with mobility issues. Thresholds to rooms (both inside and outside the property) were of varying heights making them dangerous trip hazards. To access one of the beds we were required to move two armchairs around an awkward space to be able to pull the bed out from under the other bed. There was no communal dining area or sitting area which would fit us all in. The doors on rollers did not have stoppers so fell off frequently. The property was in need of a deep clean and a refresh - there were numerous scuffs, marks and stains throughout. We were only given 5 towels for our group (of 9). No tea towels were provided. We left a cardboard box on the floor beside the fridge overnight - in the morning there was clear evidence on mice.

Fantastic location. Great for Groups

Cleanliness could have been a lot better although bedding was clean. One shower wasn't usable due to a leak but as we were a group using all units we were able to share. We were greeted upon arrival and shown around which was good. All could probably do with a deep clean and a bit of a spruce in places. A couple of units had new shower rooms which were good (except the one that was leaking so unable to use)! Good set up but some attention needed in places . Good for a large group but a couple of units would be too cramped in my opinion if all beds were used/needed
