About this house rental
Romantic spot in nature in a modern mini barn. Access to 2.5 acres with walking trails, seasonal creek with fish and turtles. Kitchen equipped with full size fridge, freezer w/ ice maker, dishwasher, microwave/air fryer, and 2 burner cooktop. Fenced backyard is equipped with BBQ grill, fire pit, deck, 2 person hammock, and cowboy pool.
Pull out couch for extra guests right infront a large picture window. Perfect way to wake up to views.
Location is remote but only ~5 min from downtown.
1 bedroom with bathroom you access from the bedroom. There’s a pull out couch in the living room in front of the big picture window. There’s a small fully stocked kitchen off the living room including plenty of spices and even condiments in the fridge. Freezer even makes 2 types of ice!
Items to note before booking:
While Bastrop is cute, artsy, romantic, and full of nature, it still very Texas country. One of the ranchers several miles away enjoys occasional stationary target practice on their land. The sounds are far and you probably won’t even notice them but if that spooks you then I would recommend staying within downtown limits. The property also experiences road noise with cars driving past on the farm to market street.

Such a wonderful space - inside and out. Loved exploring the creek behind the property and just sitting on the porch, enjoying nature. The hosts were also very gracious and understanding. Will definitely be back!

Super clean and cute rural place. Good communication with very nice owner. Private location with easy, short drive into Austin. Would love to rent it again during the Summer to enjoy the cowboy pool under a star-filled Texas sky. Anyone wanting the small town atmosphere of Bastrop, and the wonderful musical, dining and fun offerings of Austin, this is the perfect middle ground! Best of both worlds. So glad we found this listing! Merry Christmas!

Beautiful little house that was perfect for our little get away. Comfy bed and great shower. Great place to bring your dogs. Everything you need is at the house. We cooked both evenings we were there and it worked well.The huge picture window with the view of the property is fantastic.Really can’t say enough everything was excellent. Hoping to come back again.
