About this cabin rental
Pure Michigan! Chappy's Cabin is a fun, cute, comfy and traditional northern Michigan cabin! Just across the street from popular Van Etten Lake with deeded lake access to launch your canoe or kayak! Includes fully stocked kitchen and bath, living room, main floor washer and dryer, Wi-Fi, and large family-friendly backyard with picnic table and fire pit! Come create some lasting memories with your loved ones at Chappy's Cabin! NO SMOKING! NO PETS!
NEIGHBORHOOD:
The neighborhood consists of lake homes, which are primarily vacation and second homes. A number of retirees live in the area. It is expected that guests will help to keep the neighborhood pleasantly quiet and peaceful. The home is only a 5-minute drive from downtown Oscoda.
The entire area is famous for fishing, boating, kayaking, paddleboarding, hiking, and nature viewing and there are a number of different places in the area for these activities. There are also several places in the area that rent out boats, kayaks, and paddleboards for fun on the water if you don't have your own watercraft.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
1) PETS: All pets are strictly prohibited.
2) NO AIR CONDITIONING: Please note that the property does NOT have air conditioning. As such, it may get warm in the house during the summer if it is warm outside.
3) NUMBER OF GUESTS: Please note that our pricing is based upon the number of guests, with pricing being higher with each additional guest that is included on the reservation. Please make certain that the correct number of guests is specified on the reservation so that the pricing is correct.
4) EARLY CHECK-IN: Our policy is to allow early check-in on the day of arrival if the property is available for check-in. We will not know until the day before arrival whether or not the property will be available for early check-in or not. You can check with our local property manager the day before arrival or on your arrival day to see if the property will be available for early check-in or not.
5) LATE CHECK-OUT: We maintain a very strict and structured cleaning schedule. As such, late check-outs are strictly prohibited.

We had a great little vacay with family. Their property manager Kathryn was kind and helpful The cabin was clean, check in was easy, and there was more than enough space for our group of five. Great location for everything we wanted to see and do.

The cabin was as pictured. The overhead fans helped with not having air conditioning. The property manager was in getting back to you and was very helpful. Good location. Overall a nice stay and would return.
