Gîte le Petit Chamois - 75 m² - 3 stars - 2 bedrooms - 5 minutes from the slopes

Nestled in lush greenery, amidst unspoiled nature in the Vologne Valley, at an altitude of 750m, enjoy a peaceful stay in our apartment on the 2nd and top floor of a small condominium. Spacious, with its 75m² of living space, all on one level, it is rated 3 stars. We have preserved its mountain charm with exposed beams, hardwood floors (no carpet), Vosges-style furniture in the bedroom, a small mezzanine overlooking the living room, and a wood-burning fireplace adding a touch of romance. The furniture is recent; we renovated the apartment when we purchased it in 2017. The kitchen, which opens onto the dining room, is modern. You can cook up delicious meals with its traditional oven and 4-burner ceramic hob, not to mention the dishwasher, raclette and fondue sets. For your comfort, the bedroom offers four beds, all equipped with new bedding and disposable mattress and pillowcase covers that are replaced after each rental. The separate toilet is located next to the bathroom. The small mezzanine with its sleeping area is popular with teenagers who like to retreat there. Finally, the sofa bed in the living room offers another option for your relaxation.

Outside there is no overlooking for less than a hundred meters except for the cows that graze in the neighboring meadow in the summer. You can see them from the dining room window, which offers a magnificent view of the Vologne Valley and the surrounding mountain peaks. If you enjoy hiking, you can set off directly from the apartment to conquer the summits. If you like fishing, the Moselotte, a first-category river, flows just a hundred meters from the apartment. With your car, you can reach the Corbeau or Blanchemer lakes in 5 minutes, where trout and carp await you, and perhaps even for a swim. For skiing, the La Bresse Hohneck resort, the largest in the Grand Est region, is a 5-minute drive away, unless you prefer to take the shuttle (stop 100m from the apartment near the Scierie Créperie, ski rental). Two other stations, Le Lispach and Le Brabant, are reachable in 15 minutes. A private locker for storing your skis is available in a shared room. A locker for your ski boots is also reserved for you. For your car, no worries, a parking space is assigned to you in the courtyard. Access to the building, located in a cul-de-sac set back about 100 meters from the road leading to the town center of La Bresse or the Hohneck resort, is via a flat road that is regularly cleared of snow in winter. Its location, about a hundred meters from the main road, allows you to avoid the nuisances caused by traffic. You will find 4 restaurants between 100m and 1.5km away, a ski rental shop 100m away. The center of La Bresse has many traditional shops, a Super U supermarket, the La Bressaude confectionery shop, a cinema, an ice rink, a water park, and on Sunday mornings you can stroll through the market where hundreds of vendors are set up. Finally, many tourist sites are available within a 15km radius, including Gérardmer, Lake Longemer, and many others, not forgetting Alsace, less than an hour away, with its Christmas markets in winter. All this information is available to you. You will find everything you need in our welcome booklet, which our service provider will be sure to introduce to you upon your arrival. You won't be left to your own devices; they are also responsible for explaining the apartment's features. They can even take care of the cleaning at the end of your stay (cleaning is not included in the rental price). Of course, my wife and I are also available to assist you during your stay. We have furnished our apartment as if it were our own home; in fact, we spend several weeks here every year and never tire of it.
