A group of us stayed at the Sturgeon River Cottage over the May long weekend here in Canada. Even before going on going on our trip we were already really excited! The place looked beautiful, clean and the communication with the property managers was excellent. In the blink of an eye, the day came for our trip. The location of the cottage was excellent, closeby to various towns like Midland and Port Severn which had grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores and everything we needed in case we needed anything. The cottage was just like the pictures, cute, welcoming and very cozy! It also had plenty of space for all of us, including a pull out couch that was extremely comfortable, and 3 bedrooms with plenty of bed space! The bedrooms and kitchen were well stocked with everything we needed. The only thing was the shower in the main bathroom had a bit of low pressure, but the second shower was great! The jacuzzi, the firepit and even the BBQ were amazing extras to have, and we had a blast enjoying these spaces. The are is quiet, neighbours are close but all respectful and friendly, and the cottage also has access to a river that makes it for a relaxing time away. All in all, I would stay here again and I look forward coming back one day when it’s warmer and we can fully enjoy the weather and river! FYI, if you have an adult trip, or have kids joining your travels, or even pets (dogs), this place is honestly perfect!
