1 BR with Balcony with Netflix at Horizons 101 Cebu City

Location, Nice building.

Writing this review is difficult because the apartment itself is very nice, and the host is equally pleasant. Still, weighing the pros and cons will help explain why I feel conflicted. **Pros:** - The host was welcoming and easy to communicate with, almost all the staff in the building are lovely - The apartment is spacious and well-kept—definitely nicer than the one I stayed in at East Gate last year. - Having a private deck was a highlight, and the view of the mountains behind the city truly elevated the experience. - The area is lively, with plenty going on nearby, which made the stay engaging and convenient and while I will be happy to not hear a rendition of Tina Turner at 1am again, its the price you pay for accessibility .

Cons: The elevators are a serious drawback. At busy times, it’s not uncommon to see long lines stretching out of the reception lobby, with delays of 5–10 minutes. If you’re uncomfortable in crowded elevators, I would strongly advise against staying here—I fall into that category myself and I was never in an elevator going up which didn't leave "full" once it cleared the parking levels. Speaking with the other people its an ongoing problem in the building The surrounding area, while lively, isn’t the most appealing. There is a noticeable level of crime, which made me feel uneasy. Of course, none of this is directly connected to the apartment or the host—it’s outside their control. Still, its hard to split the apartment from the overall experience which left me feeling as though I was almost under a kind of house arrest, reluctant to go out and explore as much as I would have liked and after booking a trip to Cebu a week after I returned last time, its not something a will rush to do again.
