Views and the lake.
Separated 3rd bedroom lack of lake access. The point of renting a lake house is to be able to access the lake from the property.

It was a very warm and cozy cottage with an amazing view. We drove 10 hours and made it a little earlier than expected and our host allowed us to check in a little early.
There was very little to not like about the cottage. It had a very rustic charm. The living room did have well worn thinning bench cushions but the home was still comfortable.
