Dhalaya Resort Udawalawe

We had a fantastic stay here at Dhalaya Resort, the staff were exceptional and went above and beyond to make sure that we had a lovely stay here. Breakfast was great and we were very close the National Park. We booked the safari through the resort, our driver was great and very knowledgeable about the animals. We even managed to spot a leopard with him which can sometimes be difficult to spot!

Nothing! The only thing I would say is there were no cocktails at the bar but they had beer on offer.

Everything was great here. The staff was so so nice and the restaurant had amazing food. They organized a safari for us, and that was so much fun as well! Also very close to the Elephant Sanctuary.

Couldnt buy alcoholic drinks due to licence issue

The location was excellent as it was near the park to do a safari and the elephant transit home. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

When we arrived the room was filled with mosquitoes. We spent 20 minutes trying to kill as many as we could but I still got badly bitten overnight despite having the fan and air con on. It would be good if efforts were made to reduce the mosquitoes in the room before people arrive by having a repellent in the room which is actually switched on. Maybe a net over the door would help.
