Villa Anastasia

Qualité de l'hébergement. Localisation excellente. Point de vue magnifique. Nous n'avons pas pu profiter de la piscine ni du SPA en raison de la température, mais en été ce doit être parfait.

The spacious size and views

The kettle was difficult to operate without instructions ( it’s a flashy kettle) and the cleaner turning up 40 mins before our check out time.., a hire car is definitely needs due to location but on the plus side enabled us to visit lots of different places in Corfu.

The villa is an hour away from the airport, and a car is essential to get around. (I'd recommend getting an automatic car if you can, as the roads are very windy and it's one less thing to think about.) The villa is really clean, the swimming pool is nice and beds are comfy, showers are powerful and there's plenty of space for everyone. The directions for arrival were very detailed and helpful for us. Use the google directions from the PDF / web page they send you, rather than the booking.com booking info. V good facilities for washing & drying clothes. Take mozzie spray - or if you forget, you can buy in the local supermarket. So fab to eat outside, but not so much fun when we forgot our repellent. They aren't very nasty, just annoying. Good fly screens on all windows and doors - make sure you keep them shut. Air con great in the bedrooms, not so great in the communal areas. Also, great library of books from previous guests, I was happy to leave 3 there for future guests, and exchange for one.

There were no provisions in the villa on arrival, so make sure you do an essentials shop before you arrive. The local, village is only 5 mins drive away, but can be a pain when you are tired from travelling. We suggest that an instruction booklet on the villa is created - with information on how to use the hot tub, the TV, the lights, the kettle, and washing machine. Air con - this didn't seems to work in the lounge or in the upstairs hall, we tried the control, but didn't feel anything. A fan was supplied, but wasn't the best. Luckily we were outside most of the time. It would have been nice to have a larger sofa or more comfortable chairs - if 6 of us were inside in the evening, 3 of us either had to sit on hard chairs, or go to bed. This meant that is wasn't very relaxing. I would suggest changing the kettle, none of us could work out how to make water boil - it was too technical for us & no instructions. A simple kettle would be perfect.

The house is beautiful with a stunning sea view and lots of outside space. We had an issue with a drain during our stay, which was dealt with immediately.

The cleaner was still cleaning when we arrived to check in and turned up before check-out to begin cleaning, upon giving feedback I was informed this was normal.
