Hickory Creek Hideaway

Beautiful Location! Nice yard for the kids to explore and play around in. The Hot tub was wonderful. The Home was super cozy and clean! I enjoyed the rockers on the front porch. The kitchen has everything you need. I cooked quite a bit during our stay.

Only issue we had was I could not get the firepit going. Even though the fire wood was covered, it was still damp and wouldn't light. My husband suspected it might have been the wrong type of wood even.

It was immaculately cleaned and well stocked! It had everything we needed or could think of from kitchen appliances, Dishes, baby crib, high chair, gate, board games, toiletries, bedding, pillows, bathroom towels… everything. Property looks just like the photos. Customer service was excellent and very responsive to any questions or issues we had.

Hot water ran out after about 2 showers, so if you have more than 2 people who need to take showers, you have to wait for the water to reheat. We bought fire starters for the fire place , but couldn’t use the fire place because the smoke came inside the house instead of out of the chimney. We tried everything to remedy the smoke because we really wanted to use the fire place, but couldn’t tolerate the smoke building up inside of the cabin. (It could have been operator error- as it is a wood burning fireplace and we are used to gas)
