A BEND IN THE RIVER LODGE offers spacious rooms and privacy on a bucolic 5-acre Chewuch River setting 4 miles outside of the Town of Winthrop. The lodge is a great home base for outdoor enthusiasts, with hiking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing nearby. Lodge is a large accommodation with various booking options depending on the size of your group and your preferences. Whether you book the 2-bedroom, 3-bedroom, main-floor, or entire-lodge option, the lodge is exclusive to your group. Every exclusive booking includes all common areas within the building, such as the basement recreation room and the screen porch. Entire Lodge Option Description: Lodge has 4 large bedrooms & one large sleeping loft. There are 6 baths in the lodge. Three of the bedrooms have en suite baths; one bath is in a common hallway, and the sleeping loft has two baths. The Main Floor accommodates a maximum of 20 guests. Smaller groups of 15 people find the Main Floor most comfortable. The main floor & loft together sleep up to 30. The lodge is air-conditioned except for the upper loft and the basement/recreation room. All four bedrooms on the Main Floor and the common areas (kitchen, dining, and living rooms) are air-conditioned. The daylight basement/recreation room remains cool naturally. The loft is equipped with fans, but may still feel warm in hot weather. Sleeping accommodations: 23 beds Loft: 8 single beds 1 double bed 2 bathrooms Main Floor: Bedroom 1: 1 queen, 1 twin bedroom 2: 1 queen bed, 1 double bed, 1 twin bed Bedroom 3: 2 doubles, 1 single Bedroom 4: 1 double bed, 3 sets of ensuite) There are 6 bathrooms. Hairdryers and "Everyone" 3-in-1 shampoo, body wash,/bubble bath are provided.
Lodge has an exceptionally well-equipped kitchen which provides everything you need to cook a feast. We provide salt and whole black peppercorns. Okanogan County Public Health restricts the provision of other cooking staples such as oil and spices. We also provide paper towels, paper napkins, dish detergent, laundry detergent, plastic wrap, aluminum foil, paper facial tissues, and toilet paper. Coffee supplies include coffee-making equipment, including a coffee machine, drip and French press equipment, and paper coffee filters (coffee is not supplied).

Break bread around a 12-foot antique oak table. Enjoy the screened porch that opens from the kitchen, with rocking chairs that look out over a meadow down to the river and the unspoiled hills. There is also a sunroom, near the BBQ deck, that serves as a ski waxing/gear room in the winter. A/C mini-splits cool the lodge's main floor. The deck is outfitted with a cedar picnic table and umbrella. (Please note the BBQ is stored in winter, between November 1 and April 1.)

A spacious daylight basement recreation room includes a TV, a ping-pong table, and a game table. There is a second large picnic table immediately outside of the recreation room.

Natural-fiber, high-quality bed & bath linens have been chosen to ensure your comfort. The lodge is decorated with 'found object' collectibles, artwork & Turkish area rugs to create a warm & inviting interior.

We are pet friendly. Dogs are people too, even if they are not permitted on people's furniture.

The Methow Valley is an apple maggot quarantine area per the Washington State Dept. of Agriculture. "The purpose of the apple maggot quarantine is to stop the spread of apple maggot into pest-free areas of the state. State law prohibits the movement of homegrown fruit or raw vegetables from a quarantined area into or through a pest-free area." Please do not bring any homegrown fruit or raw vegetables to A Bend in the River. Store-purchased fruits and vegetables are fine.

The Lodge 3-bedroom option offers 3 bedrooms, an ensuite, and one common bathroom. "Everyone" 3-in-1 shampoo, body wash,/bubble bath is provided.
Whether you book the 2- or 3-bedroom option, the lodge is exclusive to your group.

The Lodge Main Floor (maximum 20 occupancy): The Main Floor accommodates a maximum of 20 guests. Smaller groups of 15 people find the Main Floor most comfortable.
