This charming home is conveniently located just minutes from downtown Francesville, IN. Mel, the owner and property manager, was a joy to work with—her communication was excellent, had a handy little check-out list, and she went above and beyond with thoughtful touches that made me feel truly welcome. The house is perfect for families, with games provided to enjoy together; the online pictures accurately reflect the character of the home. The updated kitchen has all the modern conveniences (fancy coffee maker, microwave, etc). Once the town's hotel, most of the home retains its historic charm, with beautiful original hardwood floors that Mel said they uncovered beneath the old shag carpeting. You can’t help but wonder about the stories those walls hold from years gone by! Future guests: there are not a lot of fresh grocery options in the town - you might pick some up in a larger city along your route. Definitely check out the Mercantile, a cute co-op downtown with homemade food and farmhouse art. Thank you again, Mel. This is a clean, comfortable, spacious and homey relic in a safe location, and was just perfect for my needs I'll be back!

Supply and demand. If you're looking at this place, you've got a reason to stay in or around Francesville. You don't have many options. The place is small, no frills and dated. It was fine for my family for a couple of nights as we weren't in the house very long. Our cost for 2 nights all in was 387. Don't have high expectations and you'll be ok.It was easy to check in. Wifi worked. Had hot water and a TV.
