    Surprisingly clean and comfortable for a budget hotel. I would definitely stay here again. Just wish that they had on-site parking.

    This hotel is pretty cool. Great location. Near all kinds of transportation. Check in was kind of a rude experience. Gave the guy at the front desk my ID to check in. I believe his name is Ethan. And he literally threw it back at me. Outside of his rudeness, the rest of the staff is very nice. Hotel is well maintained and clean. Plenty of places to eat and shop. I'd give it 8.5 out of 10.

    I stayed at Essence Hotel for one night and overall had a great experience. Upon arrival, the reception staff greeted me warmly and checked me in quickly. The hotel is in close proximity to restaurants and the main road, which was very convenient. Communicating with the staff was easy, and the room, including the bed was very comfortable. I had read a review mentioning thin walls, but in the room I stayed in, I didn’t hear any noise from neighboring rooms at all, so that may only apply to certain areas of the hotel. Would I stay here again? Absolutely.

    Close to station for JFK Airtram, LIRR, & subway E/F. Modern, clean hotel. Seems quiet & calm. Breakfast is meager but better than nothing. Convenient for airport.
