Malino Resort & Residences - Ski and Bike Apartments

This is definitely a place I would love to come back to! The location of the cabin is stunning – right in the middle of the forest, with very easy access to numerous hiking trails. You can easily spend two or three days exploring the area without needing to use the car at all. The cabin itself is perfect for a family with two children, and dogs are very welcome. It is very well equipped, spotlessly clean, and simply yet tastefully decorated. The beds are extremely comfortable. The back porch is wonderful – a lovely place to sit at sunset, enjoy a cup of coffee, or play a family game together. Having a washing machine is a huge bonus, especially on a trip of a week or longer. Whenever we had a question, the response was always quick and friendly. Check-in is very convenient, with a lockbox located right next to the cabin door, and there is parking directly next to the property.

A few things that could be improved: These are all relatively minor points that did not take away from our very enjoyable stay, but addressing them could definitely take the experience from very good to exceptional: The large plates do not fit properly in the dishwasher. A small shelf in the shower for shampoo and body wash would be very useful. The shower head is positioned very low and cannot be mounted at a comfortable height for an average-height adult. It would be helpful to mention that there is still significant construction taking place in the surrounding area. The grass around the back porch has quite a few thorns, so be careful when walking there. A blackout or darker curtain in the living room, particularly on the window facing the neighboring cabin, would provide some additional privacy.

Good location and apartment with sauna. Very clean and new furnishings. Super well maintained.

Only issue was occasional noise from partying neighbors, but it ended at 10pm, and this is not an issue the host could control.

Selten war ich so zwiegespalten. Das neue Dorf am Waldrand ist wirklich schön gestaltet: neue Häuser, stilvoll eingerichtet und eine grundsätzlich sehr angenehme Umgebung. Ein großes Lob möchte ich der Putzfee aussprechen. Sie war sehr gründlich, sorgfältig und hat die Unterkunft wirklich detailliert gereinigt. Das ist mir positiv aufgefallen und verdient ausdrücklich Anerkennung.

Leider findet sich in der Beschreibung keinerlei Hinweis darauf, dass man morgens bereits gegen 6:00 Uhr vom Lärm der Bagger, Betonmischer und anderer Baustellenfahrzeuge geweckt wird. Der Lärm ist wirklich enorm – an Schlaf war während unseres Aufenthalts kaum zu denken. Zusätzlich sorgt die Schotterstraße dafür, dass man selbst dann aufwacht, wenn nachts ein Auto zurückkommt. Nur zur Information: Die Baustelle wird nach meiner Einschätzung in diesem Jahr keinesfalls fertig werden. Wer Ruhe und Erholung sucht, sollte sich dessen unbedingt bewusst sein. Besonders enttäuscht bin ich allerdings auch von der fehlenden Fairness im Umgang mit einer persönlichen Angelegenheit. Zum Vergleich: In einem wunderschönen slowakischen Paradies, dem Hotel Apartmány Mlynky - Slovenský raj, (ein wirklich ruhiger Ort mit traumhaftem Blick auf die Berge), habe ich einen meiner AirPods vergessen. Die Chefin hat sie mir nach Absprache mit dem Besitzer problemlos per Post zugeschickt – dafür bin ich bis heute dankbar. Trotz Absprache mit dem Besitzer von Malino Resort habe ich die verlorenen AirPods nie zurückerhalten. Das ist wirklich sehr schade und hat den insgesamt enttäuschenden Eindruck zusätzlich verstärkt.
