We stayed in Vela House for a week and it was absolutely amazing. The staff were extremely gracious and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We even received an entire home-cooked meal served by the host family, which was so amazing. The rooms are in a separate house so we had privacy as well. A lovely villa, highly recommend.
The villa was perhaps a bit far out for us from the centre, but only 20-30 mins from Karon, so not too much of a problem, especially if you prefer to be away from touristy areas. The only main issue we had with the house was that the bathrooms needed a bit of an updating. Other than that, it was a beautiful villa and we throughly enjoyed our time there.
