Tam Coc Golden Fields

The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was pretty good (fresh omelets, fruit).

The main pool is a bit odd- quite deep and actually a bit chilly, facing the fields not the rocks so view is meh. Breakfast area is covered so you can’t enjoy the view while you’re eating either. Whole hotel faces the fields not the rocks so the view is less spectacular than it looks. There are mosquitoes everywhere. There was flooding on the road out front that the hotel failed to warn us about beforehand, even though a car could go through it (but you couldn’t walk/bike). The rooms literally have the rock face as a back wall which makes them rather humid (water running down the rock face, etc) and smell like the damp outdoors. Overall this place was fine but not as spectacular as it looks online, and for the price I would try somewhere else next time.

The staff were great and helped with anything we needed. On our last day they prepared some watermelon & water for our ongoing travels which was very kind. Breakfast options were good with fresh pho, omelette, lots of tropical fruits. We had 2 rooms and both were spotless with a free minibar!! I LOVED the large bath and had a very relaxing soak whilst the rain was pouring. The larger pool area is absolutely gorgeous, like a tropical oasis. We were even brought free fruit plate by the pool. Great location, very close to scoot into Tam Coc and explore surrounding areas. We rented e scooters from the hotel & they were very fun. Thank you Golden Fields

This hotel was the best hotel I stayed in during my time in Vietnam. It has all the amenities you could ask for and the staff were amazing. Chi the bartender really made our trip and his cocktails are out of this world !

Location was easy walk to main part of Minh Binh. Rural setting but close to town by walking. 10 mins. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast.

We ended up with a room that purposely has an interfering with closing off the bathroom ceiling. This resulted in an open air bathroom open to outdoors. Disconcerting. Would have preferred a different room. We only stayed 2 nights so we decided to remain on the room.
