Casa dos Sonhos, Vale do Lobo

This was a last minute booking for a family of 4 with 2 small children and we were a little nervous as this was our very first trip together outside of the country. The request was accepted immediately and the communication with the hosts was quick and easy. To say I was pleasantly surprised on arrival is a understatement. This little corner of Vale do Lobo was beautiful. Incredibly quiet, peaceful with natural and relaxing surroundings. The villa is beautiful in the pictures but I couldn't appreciate it fully until we were there and it was beyond what we expected. Our children ended up sharing a room with us even though there were 3 bedrooms available due to the layout of the property having 2 of the bedrooms in a separate building but this wasn't a negative for us at all as the host was very accommodating in offering simple solutions when we arrived. It was clean, the air conditioning was great, the facilities were fantastic (I could have packed a lot less to bring with us). We had went to a supermarket on our way in from the airport to buy things I assumed we would need only to find most of them on arrival. There's a lovely little convenience store 5 minutes away which we visited daily and the whole area in general is very convenient for restaurants, shops, the beach and anything else you may need on your trip. The pool was perfection, very well used and cleaned regularly. We did not need to contact the host for anything the entire week but I'm sure it would not have been an issue if we did. We had a fantastic stay, left feeling relaxed and happy and would love to return.

Nothing that would put me off staying again or recommending the property to anyone. Just to note; the area leading into the villa is under development and the entrance wasn't clear. (We had no issues finding it but I could see how some may not be sure when turning in that they are in the right place as there were a lot of building materials and unmarked roads but google maps had a general idea.) There was some unscheduled maintenance going on around the property during the day, gardening, pool cleaning etc that may catch some people unaware if you're expecting privacy all day.

Fabulous house. Fitted 6 of us comfortable. The view are lovely. It was so peaceful during the day.
