Rainbow Homestay Khajuraho

I loved staying with Ganpat and his family at Rainbow Homestay. I got so much personal attention I was made to feel very special. I was invited to eat with Ganpat's family on more than one occasion for no extra charge. The place is definitely worth more than the price I paid. I enjoyed it so much so that I canceled my plans to return to Goa for the last week of my 4 months in India and returned to Khajuraho to spend it with Ganpat, his family and the many other friends I met on my first visit a couple of months earlier instead. I cannot recommend Rainbow homestay in Khajuraho enough, it is a fabulous place not only because of the accommodation is such high quality but because the family are divine. The location is a three minute walk from the main road, maybe a seven minute walk to the very centre and 10 minutes to the large Western complex of temples. The family will arrange visits to any of the ticketed tourist attraction like the incredible Raneh waterfalls, the Panna Tiger Reserve (I got to see a magnificent Tiger) and the Western temple complex etc. they can also suggest beautiful non ticketed free no tourist locations to visit like Bariyarpur Dam to go swimming. They will also arrange scooter hire or tuk tuk drivers like Pramod Mishra (the most amenable and trustworthy tuk tuk driver in town) if walking in high temperatures is not your thing. The place is very clean, the sheets are high quality, the beds super comfortable and electrical sockets are in all the right places. This is a homestay where the quality of the guest accommodation feels more like a hotel than a homestay. Ganpat is an incredible cook, couldn't do enough for us and is a person I now consider him to be a friend. We were made feel like part of the family. I will 100% be returning to Rainbow homestay next time I visit India. I recommend you do yourself a favour if you are visiting Khajuraho and book to stay here.

If I had to find something to fault I would have liked a kettle in the bedroom room. Although in fairness the communal kitchen next to the roof terrace on the first floor has everything you need for self catering if you are on a tight budget.

Location is great, Western Group of Temples are within walking distance, rooms were good, homely food prepared by the host's family,clean bathroom, no geyser but host will provide you hot water whenever you want without any questions, host Ganpat Ji is a very nice person. বাঙালিদের জন্যে আদর্শ জায়গা কারণ এই হোমস্টের সামনেই রয়েছে দাদা বৌদি হোটেল, এবং হোস্ট নিজেও বাঙালিদের পছন্দ করেন, আমি বাঙালিদের বলব একবার ঘুরে আসুন, ভালো লাগবেই।

카주라호 최고의 숙소.. 새로 지은지 1년밖에 안되어 정말 깨끗하며 방도 엄청 크고 템플까지 도보로 약 15분의 위치도 최고인 정말 멋진 숙소입니다. 숙소 주인은 최선을 다해 도와 줍니다 정말 친절한 주인 Ganpat... 내년에 다시 또 올겁니다
