central location，market near by. walkable distance to railway station. luxor and karnak temples short taxi ride away. courteous and helpful staff members！inexpensive price so dont expect luxury decor. mobility reduced guests ok as one of us uses a wheelchair, but you have to walk over a step at main entrance. lift serves all floors except restaurant on top. overall recommendable!

My only criticism is the tv only had 3 Arabic channels I asked for MBC 2 which is common in egypt and is movies in English I reminded them 3 times but never arrived … I suppose most tourist arriving in cooler weather would not be too concerned but if they had kids not good

I had a wonderful stay at Memphis.
A special thank you to Fatima at Reception, who was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. She made me feel at home from the moment I arrived and was always happy to assist with anything I needed.
I would also like to commend the restaurant staff. Everyone was warm, friendly, and attentive. The service was excellent, and they always greeted guests with a smile.
Overall, the hospitality was outstanding, and I could not ask for more. Thank you to the entire team for making my stay such a pleasant and memorable experience.

Hotel reception area smell of cigarette smoke. There is a guy who sits and kept smoking there, without ventilation, no window. Hotel is dirty. No free mineral water given. The hotel is so old and antique. They should do a major renovation. Toilet shower head came off on the 1st day we arrived. After the plumber fixed it came off again. We gave up.
The staffs are all friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Location is good.
I will not recommend this hotel.
