Llanos de la Corona by Villas Rivero

10 out of 10 points to this wonderful place! The owner Carmelo is a very nice person (saw him only for some brief moments though). We had a cake and a wine waiting for us when we arrived. Staying there was just like a fairy tale! The house and the surroundings are very beautiful and magical - very unique among all the other accommodations on the island! Perfect for those who like cooler weather and lush greenery. It was very peaceful and quiet all the time. There were many amazing tropical plants around the house, beautiful nature everywhere. We got to make fire, grill and eat outside, also spend time with a lovely little dog who visited us daily. The house was rustic, authentic and very interesting looking, and had everything that's necessary for a comfortable stay. The shower was great and also the kitchen was very fine. Overall, the house had an amazing and a very special vibe. The rooms look a bit different on the photos though, I think new photos are necessary. In the big bedroom there was a large double bed and two single beds. In the other, small bedroom, there were two single beds. Staying with a family makes it a bit awkward (or when there's a couple in a friends group). The small bedroom should have one double bed for the parents, to have their privacy. Children could then each have a single bed, all lined up in the big bedroom. Right now parents (sleeping on the double bed) have to share the room with the kids, or a couple with their friends.

​It is very unfortunate that Carmelo doesn't rent his apartments out by himself. ​We had some issues with the Villas Rivero company that manages the bookings for this house. First, before arriving, we had to fill in so many personal details about us and our underage kids for the rental contract, it took us hours to complete. Among other things, we had to take selfies with our passports and share very personal information, something we've never had to do when booking an accommodation (and we travel a lot!). When we let them know signing this kind of contract wasn't mentioned as we booked and we are not comfortable with it, asking them if there was another way to do this, we never got an answer. They always took days to answer or didn't answer at all. Always the same excuse - they are having some technical problems. A day before leaving, we sent a message asking about the check out process and where to leave the keys. Didn't receive a response. We just left the keys in the door lock. Days later, I asked if everything was OK in the house after we left and when are we going to have the deposit back. No answer... Deposit wasn't refunded within 7 days, contrary to what they promised, I had to ask several times to get it back. They were claiming every time they had technical issues. Then I let Booking.com know about the problem and a few days later, I finally got the deposit back.

Eine der schönsten Ferienwohnungen, die wir je hatten. Sehr liebevoll und gemütlich eingerichtet und absolut top ausgestattet und sauber. Wegen des schlechten Wetters haben wir die Fußbodenheizung sehr geschätzt. Als wir ankamen stand bereits ein Kuchen, Wein und weitere Kleinigkeiten bereit. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt und auch die ganze Abwicklung war sehr gut organisiert.

Es war alles super.

No hubo nada que nos disgustase.

Lugar MUY tranquilo, casa muy grande. MUY LIMPIO, el dueño muy amable. Con calefacción con suelo radiante en la planta baja, y radiadores en las habitaciones.

La casa tiene un único baño en la planta baja con ducha. Nosotros éramos tres, y no tuvimos problema.
