About this cottage rental
Set in the picturesque Cotswold village of Sherston, close to the pretty towns of Malmesbury and Tetbury, is this charm-filled, Grade II* listed 4 bedroom former coaching inn, resting peacefully on the highly sought after main street. Boasting much character and period details, this spacious property is perfect for families or groups of friends looking to explore the delightful Cotswolds and surrounding areas. It sleeps up to 8 guests and is pet friendly!
Spread over three floors, the interior is thoughtfully decorated to contrast with the style of the property, from the mullion windows, high vaulted ceilings and exposed country beams, to the quirky household accessories and bright and cheerful colour schemes. The shades of white cast over the rooms upstairs add a sleek, quality finish to the property. The blue sitting room showcases a luxurious sofa and elegant seating arrangement, focusing on the charming wood burner in the inglenook of the room.
The quiet cottage comfortably sleeps up to 8 people spread throughout 4 bedrooms. On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms, both of which have en-suite bathrooms. The spacious master bedroom has a luxurious super king bed and the second bedroom has the option of 2 single beds or a super king size bed. The top floor has a further 2 bedrooms, sharing 1 large bathroom. Again, one of the top floor bedrooms has a super king size bed and the other has the option of 2 singles or 1 super king size bed.
Concluding the interior in a fashionable manner is the large farmhouse kitchen and breakfast table; combined with contemporary fixtures, white units and modern artwork; the room entices you with a homely feel. Step out into the small west-facing courtyard, enclosed by a stone wall, it is beautifully presented with a flourish of wild plants.

Please note that the property does not have any electric vehicle charging facilities, but there are communal charging points in the village.
The kitchen has a new range cooker and a large fridge but there is limited freezer space (small freezer compartment). There is a separate 6 bottle wine cooler.

A spacious cottage in a lovely village it has all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The well appointed kitchen has all the appliances you need and is great for a large family. With a well stocked shop across the road and a lovely friendly pub just down the street it was so convenient.We had a wonderful visit ,it reallly felt like a home away from home.The locals were very friendly and the host was great and promptly answered all of our questions and was very informative.Definitely a place I would recommend for a lovely holiday.

Beautiful house in a peaceful village. Parking wasn't a problem. Only a short walk to the Co-Op, where all our grocery needs were met. Kitchen very well equipped, and we felt quite at home. The local pub, the Rattlebone (spelling?) serves excellent food. One thing worth mentioning is that the floors upstairs in this very old house are uneven in places, and that, and the spiral staircases, might make it unsuitable for the elderly or infirm. I'm 76, and I coped, just about.

We had a perfect stay here, beautiful home in a beautiful village. Well equipped cottage, great size living and sleeping spaces. It was clean, tidy and high quality - super comfy beds and sofas for relaxing! The owners were very communicative and we had an amazing time! Can't wait to visit again!

The Old Swan Cottage is a charming rental with all the necessities plus a wine refrigerator and an awesome fireplace in the living room.It is comfortable for 6 and will accommodate 8. Communication with the owner is 1st class. The village of Sherston has an excellent grocery store, Pub and abbey and is conveniently located for access to many of Cotswolds most interesting sights.
